Dark Willow was.... something strange... She didn't look so cute enymore and was soo evil.... When I saw dark willow first time i thought: this cannot be the same willow who i have crush on.... It's not she! But nowdays i like her, she's so cute when she is evil

I personally though the whole dark Willow transformation was pretty good. I mean i am rather biased because i love her to death as you all probably know. I thought it was god to explore a different side to the character of Willow, and i think exploring addiction was a very poignant point and plot... as i have known people who have fell to this sort of thing (not with magick though obv!) i thought it was something that was good. It just shows again the whole issue of people chaging for the worse when things get in between them being the person you know and love.
I have to admit that i felt it somewhat put a wet cloth over the fire i had for Willow in some ways, but i will always love Willow and feel that she is the character i am most like (pre-dark).

I was watching Two to Go on FX today, and I realised that another reason I liked Dark Willow was the effect she had on Anya. Not only did we get to see some classic "saying what everyone's thinking" Anya, but she really stepped up to the plate in this ep. I always liked those moments for her; The Gift (with the baseball bat!), Selfless, Chosen.

i thought, regarding her erm travelling, was that the way she dissapered looked all showy to impress the locals, but still took time... like she popped out of reality and travelled on some weird evil willow highway to get to where she wanted, i mean look how she got from Racks place with dawnie and buffy to the magik box... to us thats quick but magikally speaking Anya could pretty much Bampf from one place to another, but it didnt look cool.

As I'm sure you guys have figured out from the Mean Girls survivor, Dark Willow is one of my least favorite characters.
First, she stole the Trio's thunder. Not since Angelus, Spike and Dru had I been excited about a Big Bad. They were getting everything they wanted all by using their brains. Not even Buffy could defeat them.
Second, she is instantly redeemed because it was all out of grief? She killed not only Warren, but Rack, who may have not been the most pure guy, but was a human. I thought the golden rule was not to take a human life. Not to mention all the torturing of her own friends. The Scoobies treated Spike like he was dog poo under their shoes for years, even after he started patrolling with them and occasionally saving their lives. Certain Scoobies couldn't even forgive Angel once he came back from the hell dimension (let's not EVEN talk about before that with the "Willow says kick his ass!" Screw you, Xander!)
Finally, and I know this doesn't have to do with Dark Willow per se, but she almost ends the world because she's lost her true love, and then they hook her up a couple episodes into the next season?! With someone who is completely a mockery to Tara's memory? Sorry, I can NEVER forgive someone for making me watch Kennedy more than one episode.

i loved dark willow!! 😀 I think it's very cool to see a completely different side of one character. that's why i love dark willow (and vamp will was really cool too! 😀). AND i loved the last episodes of season 6 (dark willow episodes). 😉

I like Dark Willow more than Pale Willow; Vamp Willow was slightly above Dark on the scale of like-ability. In fact, that season was the worst 'willow' season. I really did not care for the character at all that season (though I suppose she was written that way) From her trying to be the woman of the house, to whiny crying addicted Willow et al. Just seemed to be more irritating than compelling. So yeah, Dark Willow was a nice break.

I think the reason Buffy was losing to Warren in SR was because earlier that night she was injured on patrol and then injured by Spke when he tried to rape her.

and hey, the Trio had it going! Sure, Buffy beat them a couple of times, but they ALWAYS bounced back with a new plan. They were only nerds, but they knew and learned from their mistakes! The Trio will always be my favorite villains. They weren't really mega evil, but they were soooo funny!

I find dark Willow a bit out of character. On one hand, she's changed doing the years, she's not what she used to be in season 1 or 2. Still, on the other end, I don't see her as someone who would kill her friends who weren't even the reason her lover died. Tara died, she loved her. But it's Willow. I believe it was a prosses. And I guess we should have seen it coming. But my question is: was there always a dark side in Willow, right from the beginning? Was Willow a good person with a dark side that she couldn't let out till the day Tara died?

I think the dark side was always there. Heck, it was the reason Tara dumped her. Willow was out of control way before she became Dark Willow.

Watching Willow mature over the years kinda gave me a soft spot in my heart for Dark Willow. I can understand how the character feels, after getting back together with her true love only to have her die. Watching her morph into Dark Willow sort of reminded me of a line in the Star Wars movie where Luke is told to "unleash your anger". She sure does and with impressive results. As an old softie, though, my favorite part of the Dark Willow arc had to be when Xander brought her back. I've always empathized with Xander, and here he is . . . no superpowers and no magic, but he's able to save the day with his undying love for Willow. Another reason I think this worked is that, in the show, we're told that Xander and Willow have been best friends since 5 years old. It's that kind of "best friends" love that endures all and was able to break through Willows grief to touch her back to the Willow we love.
