Yes, I'm in love with them. There are a lot of great character developments and moments in S8. There was depth underneath the crazy that I enjoyed, I especially enjoyed the essays and meta fans had written about S8.

In the end, I'm glad it exists.
 
I haven't read past No future for you. All the books are sitting in my closet, I just haven't continued them, and I'm not really that upset about it.

I thought No Future for you was pretty good. I'm kind of indifferent on the others.

The story just doesn't feel real to me.

Long answer; No, really not.

In the end I'm glad that I've read them and tried to get into the season but it just didn't have anything in it that I really appreciated. Everything felt wrong, as if the people making s8 had never watched Buffy before but only read the general synopsis of the show.

And of course, Angel being one of my favorite characters I didn't appreciate what the season did to him and I don't really understand why they took it there.

I don't hate it, but didn't love it. I put that down to the medium of comics, however since season 9/angel and faith, I now know it was the season itself, much in the same way s6 fails in comparison to other seasons for me.

I had the same problem since these are some of the first comics I ever read. I didn't know if there was a certain way to read them or what. Many things were confusing.

That said I was so happy to have new Buffy that I can't say I didn't like it all. So while there was a certain flavor missing from S8 and the storylines were definitely OTT - I was happy for time with the Scoobies 😉 Just like any episodes from the series that don't necessarily love, I'd rather watch that bad episode than have no Buffy at all.

I think S9 is an improvement. It seems to hold onto the mood of the series better than S8 did.
 
yes, i like season 8.
I like the transformation of dawn (who's geant), i like the come back of amy and warren.
i'm very happy to read the adventures of the scoobygang it's great.
however, i dislike the relation between satsu and buffy. don't you?
