What is the correct term considering that Fan Fiction is about what we've seen.

Thank you for that @Buffy Summers, although I must admit to wanting someone to explain what writing Fan Fiction about a possible future Buffy tale is . . . was . . will be . . . whatever . . . displays a confused facial feature!
Should I slap myself on the wrist for asking any someone else to explain what I cannot explain?

I've been thinking about the Fan Fiction I wrote about the Slayer Nova, would it be acceptable if I was to rewrite it and suggest it might be suitable material for Tales Of The Slayer story?
