Do you picture people on here as their avatars?

But Yeah I always think of people by their avatars and assume thats what their like, maybe more so about the feel for them from their avatar

Same here. I don't like finding someone with the same av as myself. I like to feel individual so a certain extent.

It depends on the person's posting style, to be honest. If I think it matches their av, that's what I'll picture them as.

This haven't really crossed my mind before, but I think this is true for me too.
Some I totally imagine looking like their av's, others not so much. And now when you mention it I really think that it is mostly the posting style compared to the avatar that is the difference.

I also usually do use the avatar as a user recognition, rather than the username.
So I often get really confused when people change picture or if two of you uses the same picture.

If I know how someone looks in real life, I see them as that. If I don't, I do tend to see them as their avvie. But I learned not to put too much faith in avatars after assuming [MENTION=10363]zobothehobo[/MENTION] was male... 🙂

I love that people see me as Kennedy. Though I hope they don't associate her personality with mine. 🙂 As much as I adore her, I know most people don't! But I think she's so much prettier than me anyway, especially in this shot.

Well I don't. What means if there is a picture of a female person my I often connect the gender of the person female, but I always look at the Genderbox on the left. Always.

And it's not like I thought she looked like Lindsey, and I also didn't think she was male because I'm friends with her on facebook and I know what she looks like, but I still connected Lindsey to her..

I don't really do that kind of thing on other boards, but that may also be because on other boards many people don't use pictures of people on other boards. Or because most other boards are visit have so many people on them that I don't often see the same people.


But I also have it a bit with my own avatar. I used to have an avatar with Spike in it, and now I have one with Tara and I don't know, when I see my own posts it feels more .. feminine. In a way, lol. I don't know.
