Do you remember the moment?

I first fell in love with Buffy on March 19, 2010. Within the first 15 mins of the episode Anne, the first episode I ever saw. I was so mad at myself for thinking it would be a "stupid black and white old person show." Boy was I wronge. 😀

For Buffy? It was the introduction of Spike and Drusilla in School Hard. It was simply brilliant. Buffy immediately became much better in my eyes.

For Angel? The pilot. I fell in love as soon as I realized how evil the lawyers at Wolfram & Hart were when Lindsey was easily providing false alibis and covering up his client's murderous activities.

Not exactly but it would have been sometime mid season 2, as I went on holiday when What's My Line part 2 aired and I made my mum record it for me

My friend had told me about a new show she had seen advertised and how awesome it looked. I soon after saw the advert and fell in love at that moment before watching the show itself and was so excited when it eventually aired lol....sad i know but hey ho.

Sometime between Suprise and Becoming part 2 I think. Definitly by becoming part 2. It might have been when Buffy sent Angel to Hell and she was crying. My heart broke for those two and I had to know the rest of the story. But I think I might have been addicted to the show before that, maybe even before Suprise. But the Buffy & Angelus arc really drew me in.

I complain about Joss' killing characters and breaking our hearts, but if it had been a fluffier show, I might not be here.

I don't remember. I watched it from the very start (not sure why I was allowed...) so I was very young at the time. I've grown up with it, and it feels as natural to love it as it feels to love a family member.

It was just always there 🙂

I got hooked in Buffy after the first episode 😀 And I got completely hooked to Anya after Season 5 "The Real Me" Can I trade in the children for more cash?

And on the subject of Angel I fell in love with Fred in Waiting in the Wings, her and Cordy in the shop one of the best moments in Angel 😀

I loved the series from the start - I loved Spike & Dru from the moment I saw them and that great visual of Spike going from that hideous vamp face to Spike in his human visage, one of the iconic scenes for the series, IMO.

Do I have a scene that has touched me emotionally and intellectually for all time - absolutely, the church/cross scene in "Beneath You."

About ten years ago Harsh light of day was on, i decided to watch it and was hooked.

I saw the movie when it came out, I was in highschool (man I feel old) and something about it really grabbed me...but then, I didn't watch the show... recently I stumbled on to random episodes on tv, I think the first one I saw was teacher's pet in season 1, and was instantly hooked... now I have all the seasons on dvd and I watch obessively. I want to live in that world!

Yes, I remember exactly. It was in 2005. My co-worker had lent me the series to keep me amused because I was home sick for two weeks. The precise moment was 20 minutes into Welcome to the Hellmouth. I think I literally called me mother, and something like this to her, "This is my new favorite show, Mom. I am going to love it forever. It's about this girl, who's funny and cute, and she slays vampires with her friends, and it's clever and smart..."
I knew right away Buffy was something special. I had never seen anything like it. I completely fell in love with it.

Yesterday, I was watching School Hard, and I was thinking about Buffy and Spike, and said to myself that I have never loved two characters so much as I do these two. It's truly unhealthy.

May, 1998.

I accidentally landed on Sky One whilst going through the channels. Buffy had just hefted her sword over her shoulder whilst Angelus knelt at her feet. A light went through Angel, he looked up at Buffy and said her name. It was the sweetest, saddest sound I had ever heard, and that was it. I have been devoted to them as a couple and individuals ever since.

Me: "Mommy, look at this promo. This girl is so pretty! She's from that soap opera I watch with grandma! I wanna watch this!"
Mom: "Oh, I don't think that's good for you, it's full of monsters."
Me: "But I wanna."
Mom: "No."

*goes to bed, mom checks in, I pretend I'm sleeping, mom goes downstairs, I turn on the tv*

Me: "She's not gonna tell me what to do! I already love this show, even before it started!"

Yeah, I started watching Buffy because I was a stuborn little kid and didn't accepted no for an answer.

I didn't accept no for an answer either. :)
"What are we gonna do tonight?"
"Well, we could ground our enemies into talcum powder with a sledgehammer but gee, we did that last night."

When She Was Bad was the first episode I ever watched, and that was the moment I fell in love with BtVS. It showcased the strength of the Scooby friendship brilliantly. After all the troubles they had gone through, Willow and Xander just forgave her without question and they all carried on being awesome.

Well I think I mentioned before that it was "Welcome to the Harvest" but on closer thought I'll narrow it down to this specific moment

Principal Flutie:
"Welcome to Sunnydale. A clean slate, Buffy, that's what you get here. What's past is past. We're not interested in what it says on a piece of paper. Even if it says-whoa..."

and when he starts taping her documents back together. It always cracks me up! 🙂

and of course:

Buffy:
It wasn't that bad.
Principal Flutie: You burned down the gym!
Buffy: I did. I really did, but-but you're not seeing the big picture here. I mean that gym was full of vampi- asbestos.

That part always makes me go "aww Buffy! You're such a little truble maker!!" and then hug my pillow.
I saw the movie when it came out and was a big fan, which is why I started watching the series. I saw the pilot episode when it first aired and I must have not cared for it since I didn't see another episode until season 3. I was like 10 at the time so don't blame me. The first episode I remember really loving the show on was The Wish. I remember Cordelia in the garbage and being a bitch towards Buffy and I was like, "Wow, I like her." But still, I didn't watch the show again until Earshot. And that's when I started watching the show religiously as it aired. Especially when Angel started.

I wish I could remember how I got addicted.. but I do remember the first episode which was "What's My Line Part 1". I liked the ending.. when Kendra said she was the Slayer, I was like "OMG, I gotta see what happens next"..

A Bangel moment that we can agree on! The age of miracles isn't over yet!

That has always been, in my opinion, the single greatest moment that Sarah and David ever played together, and, to me, it totally defined the entire relationship. No matter what they might feel for each other, as genuine as it might be, the mission will always come between them. The old, "I could not love thee half so much, loved I not Honor more," situation. I've always been a sucker for that, ever since Robert Taylor and Eva Gardner as Lancelot and Guinevere in "Knights Of The Round Table."

AS for when I "fell in love" with the show, I can't actually make any claims to romantic attachment to it. I became an instant fan upon watching "Once More With Feeling," watching the way that the actors worked together, especially Sarah and James, in their scenes together. I knew immediately that this wasn't the campy, "not quite a comedy/drama, and definitely not a horror" story that the movie was.

I came home from school one day to turn on FX. (They had just started Buffy in syndication) and saw Welcome to the Hellmouth. Buffy meets Angel, Buffy meets Xander and Willow, and by the end credits I was Hooked. I couldn't sleep, it was ridiculous.
