Do you think Giles forgave Angel for killing Jenny, you think Giles realized it wasnt really Angel. It was his alter ego

I think Giles did eventually forgive Angel but I don't think he ever fully trusted him again. Giles was aware of what a soul did for Angel, so I'm sure he was able understand that it wasn't Angel who killed Jenny; however Giles always remained aware of what the cost of Angel losing his soul could be.

I think he forgive him, but the cruels Angel did to him left pain. Physical and phsycial pain. And this pain influence Giles in views which include Angel. Always.

I think so, Angel can't control Angelus, it's a big mistake to make but it's something I think Giles is mature and intelligent enough to forgive

I think that, intellectually, Giles realized that it was Angelus who killed Jenny, tortured him, and almost destroyed the world. But I firmly believe also that, emotionally, he never saw Angel after that as much more than Angelus with a muzzle, capable of reverting at any moment, and he never really trusted him as much as he had before. This is illustrated in Season 5 of Angel's own series, when he refused to help Fred because of Angel's association with Wolfram & Hart.

Very well said! I agree with this... I think Giles forgave Angel, but I don't think he ever truly got over it and was able to put it behind him.

I also agree that I think Giles forgave Angel. I think there were signs for this as early as season 3 in the episode Graduation when he questions Wesley about having explained fully about the conditions of receiving the cure. I can understand that some of his actions here are to do with Buffy, but I think he did care about Angel and whether he died.

Would Giles ever trust Angel again? Probably not, no matter how intellectual he was Angelus did a number of unforgiveable things to him.

He didn't "refuse." Willow was unavailable. We know from the comics that this is true. Also there is no indication that it wasn't true. Angel's angry reaction to Giles's insinuation that his association with W&H is unsavory is an unreliable narrator of whether Willow was actually available or not, and whether Giles was lying when he said she wasn't. Other than Angel's angry reaction -- when he had no knowledge of the situation -- there is no indication whatsoever that Giles was lying. Especially because refusing to help the innocent Fred, out of a previously non-existent spite for Angel, is just completely out of Giles's character.

That aside: I think Giles never really considered whether he "forgave" Angel. He just moved on. The past didn't affect his dealings with the vampire, but I doubt he would ever have expressed forgiveness, despite what he told Buffy in "I Only Have Eyes for You."

No.

I think intellectually Giles knew that it was not Angel who had killed Jenny and tortured him. However, emotionally, I don't believe he ever forgave Angel and I don't believe he ever wanted to forgive him. I think he saw his worth as a fighter to the Scooby Gang, and he grudgingly accepted his importance and place in Buffy's life and heart, but I think he would have gladly staked him if he had been given the chance to do so.
