In 'The Killer In Me' When Willow is discussing her and Tara when she says 'Tara and I are kinda private' then Kennedy says I'm so sorry, it seems to take her a while to realise, I really think she forgot about Tara's death, does anyone think the same?

I think it wasn't so much that she forgot Tara was dead, as she hadn't let go of her and thus forgot to use the past tense. It happens all the time. Using the past tense means they really are gone. This episode is where Willow finally begins to actually heal and move on.

What Blondie Bear said =]
she's not used to using Tara's name in a past tense sense, mostly coz she doesn't want to. She wouldn't forget Tara... you never forget someone you're in love with no matter how much time you're given to try and move on
It's never easy

Yah, I pretty much thought that.
And I didn't mean forgot Tara, I just meant forgot the fact she was dead.

I think it's more getting used to having to use her name in a past tense than forgetting. Subconsciouly, you're not going to want to let go of someone that was so dear to you so even though they are no longer apart of your present, it entirely possible to have that slip of the tongue.

Also, it could be that Willow really did consider her relationship with Tara private, she obviously didn't want to talk to Kennedy about it, to put it in past tense wouldn't exactly work. Kennedy (being the forward girl she is) would probably simply say "were? well, what are you now?"

I've lost a few friends over the years. One was shot, was was blown up and several have died through cancer. When I talk of them, I still speak of them as though they are alive. So I didn't see anything wrong with what Willow said.
