do you think Tru's 'gift' is unique

is she the ONLY one that can do what she can do??..

if I recall, wasn't it a couple episodes ago that Davis was saying something about people w/ her abilities show up in morgues and stuff?? : scratch

do you think Davis has seen OTHERS with this "gift" and/or knows of maybe other people either directly or indirectly through other friends in the "business" and such?
 
Yes, Davis knows of one other for sure....Tru's late mom. I think it was the "something" that he was trying to tell Tru a few weeks ago before they were interupted by a phone call from Tru's sister and the episode ended.
 
hmmm... interesting, so maybe it's possibly something genetic then??.. possibly shows up in females because her brother never seemed to show any symptoms of this 'gift'..

it's been a bit since I saw the original episode... didn't she say something about she thought her dead mom had spoken to her??..

is it possible that say when Tru dies, that if one like her is around... could she ask them for help?... or maybe her mom could talk, but why didn't she ask Tru to save her??... maybe she thought it was her time to go and just wanted to say 'bye'?
 
I am new to the boards but MY theory is, her mother had the same ability as Tru, and though it passed on to her, the reason her mother didn't ask for help was because it was a repeat day for her mother, and the first time TRU was killed, and she sacrificed herself for her daughter.
 
I think it's likely that people all around the world are doing this. I mean what sense would it make to just have ONE person saving lives in ONE city, I'm sure that in every city in every state in every country there would need to be at least one person doing this. I hate to bring up old japanese cartoons, but it would be like the time when the DigiDestined (in Digimon) found out that they were just a handful of many people doing the same things all around the world.

It just makes sense, you know?

yeah, the idea that her mom didn't ask for help cuz she was saving Tru's life is really good one! 🙂..

makes me wonder if a day might come for Tru like that... that the ONLY way she could save like her brother was to die herself =O
 
That would probably be the series finale, if it were to ever happen BB 🙂 I could be way off on my theory but it makes sense....most mothers....scratch that parents....would do anything for their children 🙂

i think everybody has different gifts, unique by themselfs, i recalln i heard about people capable of manipulate energy and move things with their minds, the simple fact of can sing or draw or write is itself a gift, that's just my opinnion
 
Well he obviously knows of Tru's mom...but I think what he meant by that statement was...that people with special 'gifts' or 'powers' tend to unintentionally wind up in the place where they are supposed to be. Not that people with the same power as Tru have ended up in the morgue before, although maybe they have. I just don't think HE specifically knew about them.Tru ended up in the morgue cause she was supposed to be there...another example...although not from that show...would be Buffy ended up in Sunnydale because she was supposed to....
 
well i think there are more people with the gift, they only cover one city... and since tru got it from her mom, maybe it's a thing that can be inherited.. so in less jack is her brother, he must have gotten it from somewhere right 😉 but theremight not be that many people with the gift, it's hard to say... :rolfkit:
