Do you think when this is over...

Somewhere, I heard that Joss planned a Season 9, but it would be set several years after the end of Season 8. (It'll probably involve some Big Bad trying to kidnap one of Buffy and Spike's 6 children.)

Don´t remember who it was. Lindsey? Kean? (Damn memory) That told me the number of isues for both season 8 and 9. Which would indicate that a season 9 is coming. But season 8 will have 40 issues right?

Twas myself! 40 for season 8 and I think half that for season 9.
Yeah I think I read there will be a Season 9 but it will be set years after Season 8 and will be the last season of Buffy

I heard the mention of season 10 too, but i think that turned out be Scott Allie just joking around
 
I wonder if Joss has an ending point in mind for Buffy... the point at which he would have voluntarily ended the series if it had continued, and beyond which he doesn't want to go.

I guess any possible season 10 will depend on whether he's reached that point or not.
 
I read an interview (if I can find the link I'll post it) where Joss said that he knows exactly how season 8 will end and season 9 begin. Season 8 is to have 40 issues and I think 9 (which will be set years later) is to have 20.

Joss has always maintained that he will keep writing Buffy as long as there is a story to tell and people want to keep hearing it. If that is the case then a season 10 is very much a possibility.

Definetly hoping for more season

I wonder too if eventually they might skip a couples of year and do the next generation?? Definetly wouldn't be the same with old Buffy. OMG can you imagine Old Buffy with young Spike or Angel
