If Kennedy died like Tara did, do you think Willow would go all Dark Willow again? Or does she not love Kennedy that much as she did with Tara?

The thing is I think it wasn't only about love, but also about identity. Tara is what made Willow discover magic and her homosexuality, she owed her a big part of her personality and life. Things with Kennedy are different, they are adults with previous experiences with formed personality and identity.

When Tara died, a big part of Willow died too. If Kennedy dies, she'll "just" be a woman that Willow loved and shared some parts of her life with, but she didn't build them with her.

EDIT: Forgot to actually answer the question 😛 I think that she wouldn't turn Dark Willow again, she'd just grieve in a normal healthy way.

If she lost Kennedy in season 7? No, she didn't love Kennedy enough and I think that she would have to lose everyone she loved for her to lose it that way again. She had just learned to deal with grief.

Did she love Kennedy as much as Tara in season 8, so that she would have lost it if Kennedy died? We can't know, but I guess not, for the reasons stated above, but also because Willow had a much stonger control and understanding of magic. She knew the price. I think she might have lost it and wanted revenge (she did get somewhat dark at times in season 8) but she would probably not go all Dark Willow. Not even if it she grieved Kennedy more than she did Tara.

Btw, I can't recall the moment very well, but in the last issue of season 8, it's implied that Willow either loved Tara or Saga Vasuki more than Kennedy. She had been in denial or something, which had a part to do with the break up with Kennedy. So maybe her grief over Kennedy, even if murdered, wouldn't have made her close to as upset as when Tara died.

I think Willow and grown and matured enough as a person that she would not go Dark Willow if anyone was killed. She understands that sometimes people die, and there's nothing we can do to stop that. She also understands better now that magic is not the answer to all of life's problems.

I don't think that dark willow will come back if kennedy dies beacause, now, she mastery the magic.when tara dies, she was learning and practise the magic. she was "beginner".
When tara dies the worst of her got the upper hand...

If Dark Willow comes back it will be because Willow succumb to the darkness; not because something pushed her off the edge again.

If Kennedy does die, I do think the Willow will be very sad, she cared about Kennedy and I'm sure doesn't want to lose anymore friends or loved ones.

I can't see Willow losing control over the death of Kennedy the way that she did over Tara, simply because, despite everything that was tried to show or imply in Season 7, in Season 8, or so far in Season 9 to indicate that sort of bond between Willow and Kennedy. Kennedy is more Willow's lover than her beloved, if that makes any real sense to anyone besides me.

Definitely no. Willow didn't even love Kennedy. I don't follow the comics, so I can't speak for that, but as far as season 7? Seemed more like Willow just needed some booty. 😛 Seriously though, Willow loved Tara with every fiber of her being. Tara changed her life, in more ways than one. I honestly don't believe she could love anyone more after that.

Hell no! 😛

I agree with everything david4wt said, Tara was not only someone who Willow loved so much, but she changed her whole life (in a good way). Tara made Willow the person she is, and when Tara was taken away, it's like a huge part of Willow was taken away also.

If Kennedy died, Willow would definitely not go Dark, not just because she doesn't love Kennedy, but also because Willow is more mature now and knows that going Dark doesn't resolve anything.

I wonder if Willow would even cry if Kennedy died?

And also just because Tara is just the best :p
I certainly hope not, I mean she should have matured enough to have 'learned her lesson' about that, so to speak

Also I agree with david4wt, I think Tara's death was traumatic to Willow not only because Tara died but because a part of Willow herself died with it.

No. Not because I don't think Willow loved/loves Kennedy (depending on whether or not we bring the comics into the question), but because I don't think loving like that would happen to her more than once. This is both because, as several has mentioned, Tara was pivotal to Willow's development as an adult, and because I think the awareness of the darkness that she had in her would make it easier to control.

I have this mental image of Kennedy dying and Willow's eyes blacking out for a second, then sputtering and fizzling back to normal like a TV with bad reception.

Willow shakes her head to clear it, then shrugs and walks away, wondering if Oz is still single.

I think she'd be pretty upset by all the fans throwing parties and cheering the death of the one person Joss should have killed long ago.

Oh no... I just thought of a distasteful joke about Lee Harvey Oswald and Sirhan Sirhan both killing the wrong Kennedy. 😱

I think Willow would certainly be upset if Kennedy died, especially if we go off the comics.

However, ultimately, Tara, I believe, was Willow's soul mate, her true love. And it took Tara's death to unleash this dark power in Willow.

Therefore, I highly doubt that the death of Kennedy, a lover, but not a soulmate, would bring back Dark Willow.

At least, that's what I make of it 🙂

I gonna answer as if the series carried on and the comics didn't exist.

Personally no, she went Dark Willow when Tara died cause Tara help her turn into an adult she learnt she stuff on how to become an adult like living situations, realtionships and looking after people aka Dawn, she also helped Willow control her powers that until Amy came along. So when Tara died, Willow died, her life died. She saw Tara as her life and without her she didn't want to be in it. She wouldn't kill herself so instead she would kill the people who destory earth like Warren.

With Kennedy she was like her healing drug, but I thought their realtionship went so fast and I didn't like the girl. I think Willow needed her to help her deal with the pain but if the series carried on I would of thought Willow and Kennedy would break up and then Willow finds the 'one'. If she did die I think Willow would be sad about it and grief like a normal human being.

I do think if she found out Oz had died she would maybe turn into Dark Willow again or just leave her friends.
