Doc Savage: The Original "Superstar"

I don't now if Jonathan ever read, or even heard of, Doc Savage before transforming himself into the "Superstar" in Season 4, but if he didn't, he certainly should have. And with that in mind, I would like you to take note of the upcoming movie starring Dewayne Johnson in the title role of Doc Savage, one of the greatest, most popular, and longest running pulp action heroes from the 30's and 40's.

There was a very campy version made in 1975, starring Ron Ely, but, hopefully, despite what Johnson says to the contrary, next year's Doc will be a bit more serious. Not a big fan of the Rock? Well, at least you might be curious to see where Jonathan got his inspiration (along with Derek Flint, Jake Speed, and Buckaroo Banzai)

Would he have fit as a role model for Jonathan's imaginary persona in "Superstar?" Anyway, I could see Jonathan being a fan of early pulp fiction, since it and the old Saturday morning serials("John Carter," "Flash Gordon," "Buck Rogers," etc) were the main the inspirations for the "Star Wars" franchise, more than a Welsh Soccer player.
