Doctor Horrible's Singalong Blog Discussion

I agree, killing them is an easy way out, but I don't think that Joss kills them because he's no good at writing complicated situations.

I think that he kills characters who's death will have a big impact on 'us' but leave 'the world' turning, Tara's death was tragic and had a major impact on all of us fans but it left the core world of Buffy alone.

Alright I'm back from the dead - it's been a long long time since I've posted anything and I just watched Dr. Horrible about 10 times. BRILLIANT! I loved Penny, but sorry Felicia, ya had to go - this is a villain's happy ending after all and Penny was the only thing good keeping him from doing the unthinkable. With her gone the Evil League of Evil couldn't help but see that PHD in Horribleness.

With that said, loved it all - even tuned into The Guild after seeing Felicia Day - just awesomeness.

Wish we could say more about the return of the Buffy Sing Along, but until Hollywood’s SAG negotiations are done we can’t even talk to anyone. So, the waiting continues.

In the meantime, we’re talking with Mutant Enemy about bringing Doctor Horrible to the theatres for a new Sing Along*. First they need to finalize the DVD release and some other loose ends, but we are already humming the songs and thinking up interactive moments. So, keep praying that this new uber-catchy musical production will hit big screen soon! Seriously, praying…

I actually just got around to watching it about 3 days ago (i know, im so late in the game) and loved it so much i immediately dl'ed it off Itunes. It's brilliant. the first time iwatch it i actually got teary eyed when...when... well you know. And ihave found so much more love for neil patrick harris. And jeeez i wish there was a a sequel, but honestly i guess it's best left as is, it makes it that much more sad and sinister.
 
One of my favorite moments is when Billy turns on his webcam and goes
"Err... Freeze ray needs work." (He sounds so funny, and ADORABLE!!!)

Hrm, also:
I think it's typical of Joss to kill off Penny. Joss has a problem with Happy couples. My theory is that Penny actually had fallen a bit in love with Billy. I mean, she was waiting for him to share frozen youghurt, and she almost kissed him (Freaked me out they didn't get to do that!).
So in Joss' twisted universe it looked like this:
Happy couple coming up = better kill the girl
 
I really liked Dr. Horrible - I can't wait to get it on DVD (I have it from iTunes, or course, but I want a hard copy) ... does anyone have any news on this?
