IMG_20160515_101056.jpg 23 November 2013. That wonderful day of the global simulcast. Do you remember? Did you watch? What are your thoughts about John Hurt as the War Doctor? Would you have preferred Christopher Eccleston portraying the Ninth Doctor over John Hurt? Discuss.

(I might have accidentally cropped Jenna Coleman from the picture. And yes, "accidentally" is the word of the day)

I'm guessing you don't like Clara. Lol
I'm a big DW fan. Mostly the modern DW stuff. It was one of the best episodes ever. I was kind of ticked that Eccleston refused to come back for this ep but I wasn't surprised seeing as how he left the show because of creative differences with them.

John Hurt was fantastic as the War Doctor and I was as giddy as could be when Billy Piper made an appearance (she's my favorite companion) and David Tennant (my favorite Doctor) and Matt Smith reprised their roles. It was really cool. I laughed when Billy kept imitating the War Doctor by saying "no more" in his serious tone. Ha!

Just fun stuff all around.

My favourite scenes...the Doctors being "imprisoned" as they figure out a way to escape...and Clara walks in. The door had been unlocked the entire time.

Ten and Eleven meeting for the first time.

Ten warning a rabbit that he's the oncoming storm, etc.

And of course...near the end with all of the Doctors each flying their Tardis. Geronimo! Allons-z! 😀

I watched the episode after it aired I think, but I really enjoyed it. I was glad we got David and Billie back, even if they couldn't interact. Ideally I would have preferred Eccleston cause I liked nine. But I kind of wish they just had Paul Mcgann as the war doctor. I really like 8 and wish we had more of him on screen. (Even though the 90's movie was not good, his doctor I thought was). I love the ending with all the doctors. I like it when they bring in these old clips from the original run. I just think it's a good reminder that the doctor is all of these different versions at his core. I do like John Hurt as the war doctor, though.

I used to be a big fan when it started up again, the Eccleston year and the Tennant years. I didn't really watch much of the Smith years (although I did like Amy & Rory) and I've not seen any of the Capaldi stuff. I enjoyed the anniversary episode though.

I guess I'm a bigger Billie Piper fan than I thought possible!

My first thought was that I'd use it for a banner. Then I remembered where I was. lol
I know the avatar needs to be Whedonverse related but does that go for banners too? I know I've used none Whedonverse banners (Harry Potter, The West Wing and I think Doctor Who) before without problem and it's not like my currents signature, although there's no banner, is very Whedonverse related.
