Does a Slayer keep her powers and superstrength if turned?

That's an interesting question. Technically, if a Slayer were to be turned, they would be dead, so wouldn't their powers be gone?
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that they retain some of it, but it sorta "combines" with the vampire strength and such

I personally think that her super-strength would double. Ever see Underworld? Vampires+Werewolves together=Unstoppable mutant hybrid.
Yeah. That's what I think would happen to Buffy. Does that make any sense? I'm probably not wording it right.

I think they'd be a super vampire.
If you look at the fact that Buffy kept her power after she was revived in Prophecy Girl, and Faith was activated, that implies the power doesn't move from one to the next.
Same with activating the girls in chosen, they didn't really share Buffys strength, they would have all been pretty weak of the power was spread amongst all the girls, but each girl has the power within them, just waiting to be activated.

I think it would stay the same. The only reason they have superpowers in the first place is to be able to match the super strength vampires. So the slayer being dead she'd lose her strength, but she'd regain it by being vampire. Cancels each other out.
Like, The Master, Angelus and Luke were much more powerful than a slayer, and would have beat the majority of them, but thats what makes Buffy unique.

A very interesting question! I'm not sure what would happen, but you'd think since being the slayer is a high risk job and the chances of being turned are pretty high, that the mystical blokes behind the slayer power would have some sort of fail-safe way of extracting the slayer power after she was turned so they don't end up with a super-charged vamp running around!

I think that the enhanced power that comes from a Slayer being Called or a human being turned is more of an either/or thing than cumulative. We learned in Season 7 that the First Slayer, and her subsequent "descendants" gained their powers because the Shadow Men infused her with some sort of demon essence. And in Season 2, "the Dark Age," it was established that the vampire demon won't coexist inside a body with another demon, or at least that was my take on it. That being the case, either the Slayer demon/essence or the vampire demon/essence would inhabit the body, but not both at the same time.

I think they would become stronger. Although originally I would have said that the slayer would lose her strength once dead, but as we know Buffy dies a few times and retains her strength, and as per season 9 we know that the slayer power comes from within the body. Therefore if a slayer died and became a vampire it would most definitely be a super vampire, although whether slayer strength + vamp strength would be the case is arguable, I think it would be more likely that one would cancel the other out, so either they would have the full strength of a vamp or of a slayer. As we know slayer strength comes from a demon, and so does vampire strength, so I don't know if two demon essences could coexiist in one body.
Also if a slayer turned into a vampire had the strength of both, then surely she would be almost unkillable, and since we haven't seen such a vampire so far, it could be said they may not exist, rather than no slayer has ever been turned, which is unlikely.
