Does anybody else feel really satisifed after a rewatch?

For those who do rewatches of ANGEL or Buffy, does anybody else besides me feel really satisified after the rewatch?

Like I love the feeling you get after watching "Chosen" during a long adventure rewatch especially if you make it into a Buffy / Angel rewatch, you know with the timelines and everything.

Very much! When you do an entire re-watch of both serie, it has a very epic feel to it! I haven't done it in years now because of lack of time, but I would love to do an entire re-watch. Also, I feel like Chosen and Not Fade Away are two of the best and most satisfying ending ever written. I'm usually always disappointed in finales but not with these two shows.

You know, I have yet to do a full rewatch. I finished the show for the first time perhaps last september or so.

I feel more empty because then I don't know anymore what to do with all that time I pumped intol watching it. Sometimes I'm also a bit relieved it's over, cos it gets slightly compulsive for me to keep watching. Not like someone is forcing me, it's more like always "one more episode" and watching the show is all you do all day.
And sad, because it's over. But that's mostly with shows I watch for the first time because I know from then on there'll never be any new episodes.

It's like that feeling after Thanksgiving dinner, and you're around family and friends, and you're laughing, and you're crying, and you're drinking, and you're stuffing your face like you haven't eaten in weeks. You're so freaking full, you could hardly walk, yet you're completely content with life. That's how I feel when I'm finished with the 'Verse.

Ah yes, the urge to give in to the all consuming "Once-more-with-buffyverse syndrome", it affects me too. You, know, I feel an empty feeling also, but I think its because I'll never see another episode. The emptiness kind of goes away when I start a few years later from S1 E1 again, after I've forgotten a load of details.

In some ways I wish I could forget all my memories of ever watching the 2 shows and watch it afresh, with everything appearing new, just as it was the first time.

I can always look forward to giving it a viewing when I'm middle aged and will likely relate more, or see everything through Giles' eyes than anyone other character, and also look forward to a viewing when I'm extremely old and just as extremely forgettable. There is that silver lining to old age, right? 😎
