Does anybody have the season 8 of buffy?

I have every issue so far.

I always get the painted cover but will sometimes buy both if I like the other enough, I did this with the cover that had Giles and Faith as the Avengers.
 
All three TPB's are winging their way to me from Amazon even as we speak. I've got all the issues too, but not both covers.
 
I love it. It's a beautiful progression of the show...i feel like they're keeping it fresh. Joss Whedon is right...he IS a genius.
 
I didnt' buy them until now because I thought they were bull**** but now I finally bought them and I have to say: They're great!!!

I started today but after I was finished with volume 1 I didn't continue because otherwise I would've been finished with all of them now. And I really don't want that!
So now I said to myself that I can only read 1 volume per week. I'm curious if I can resist till next friday... I don't think so. 😀
Anyway the comics are great! Even for those who don't really like comics

If you really wanna enjoy it you should read each ARC every week. Like "Long Way Home", then "The Chain", then "No Future", then the next single issue, and so on. Dang that'd be hard.
I finally got some money for Christmas, and a new job I start next week, so today I plan on buying Volume 3. So far I've only read the issues that were included in the first two trade paperbacks. The individual issues are way too flimsy for me to buy, and the trade paperbacks are much, much higher quality. Not to mention you get to read entire arcs together which is much more satisfying.

So far I'm enjoying the season okay, but it's very clearly nothing even remotely similar to what a REAL, live-action season eight would have been. And I don't like the inclusion of all the fairy-tale things, which just screams "Charmed", but overall I have to say they're an enjoyable read.

I gotta agree with the TBP's being more enjoyable to read. A month wait totally dilutes the excitement for each issue. Maybe that's why ATF's been kicking so much ass to me lately. (Just got Vol. 1 & 2)
What kind of a quesiton is that? 😛

I have every issue. Only the badass Jo Chen covers though. Not a huge fan of any other covers at all really...

I've asked for every TPB for my b-day in February (and Spike: ATF btw). It's gotta be easier with TBP's when you feel like re-reading. Plus, there're like "special features" and stuff. And I wouldn't have to worry about the covers anymore because they have all of them in the back. 🙂


And, I'm a pretty big Wolves at the Gate fan. I used to get the series only because it was Buffy, but after WatG released I was hooked. (Ok, Long Way Home was pretty sick too, and none of them were bad by any means)
