I was actually surprised it still existed. It looks nicer than the last time I was there lol.

Myspace confirmed in 2019 that a server migration caused the loss of all user content uploaded before 2016.

Dude, I had no idea it was still around! I did hear a while back that Justin Timberlake owned it, but not sure it's true.

I had heard that it was used by businesses, not individuals anymore. Though I'm too lazy to go look at it. I've been surprised that some current social media spaces, such as Facebook* and TikTok, have lasted as long as they have, because it seems like they used to rise and fall much more quickly. LiveJournal is another one I once had a page on.

(*Yes, I know Facebook is falling out of fashion with younger people now, but it's stayed more dominant than I expected.)

Wow! I didnt know it was still around either.

As the trends go, there is a resurgence of 90's/00's stuff. People are looking for older websites and how the net used to be. Makes sense for MySpace to cash in too.

Been ages since I logged in myself but I was there and was somewhat active when it was at its peek.

Too bad they lost all their data.
Would have been great fun to log in and see the old page that you after all put some work into. 🙂

Going by descriptions I have heard about old MySpace pages, that could well have been a shock to the optic nerves.

I believe MySpace came out the year I graduated high school. And I definitely had a MySpace page, as it was all the rage back then. I think it got old after a few years and then Facebook came about and a lot of us kind of abandoned MySpace for it.

I'm very glad to hear that they lost all content that was uploaded before 2016 because that means my old profile was deleted. I definitely dont want to be reminded of that, as I'm positive I had one of those seizure inducing backgrounds on there, I think it was flashing stars or something. All I remember is that it was definitely something that I would be embarrassed about now.

I was surprised that MySpace is still operational.
I spend all my time now on Buffy-Boards.
Suffice to say that rumour has it this site is for the more intelligent viewer,
should I say this is one of the few times I choose listen to the rumour.
