It's not the fact that I am a Bangeler that makes me feel not so good with Cangel. I don't hate it or dislike it...but I don't find it suitable or right.
Cordy has evolved VERY much as a character and I have come to respect her a lot. I cried in "you're welcome". So, Angel and Cordy develop this wonderful friendship during the first two years of working together.I think Cordy brings the joy and happy tone in AI.Since Angel is not the happiest person in the world!(But i love him anyway!!!) The first two seasons show the development of the friendship and how they stand on each other's side during easy and hard times. But i don't see any implication of sexual chemistry. And I will not make any reference to Connor because Cordelia was possessed (it was disgusting though!)
David and Charisma have a MAJOR chemistry as actors...but I am talking about Angel and Cordy here. I am not saying that friendship is not capable of evolving to love. But all of a sudden in season 3, I watch Angel having sexual feelings for Cordelia. It didn't fit very well with me.Because it was very sudden, very out of place IMO. I kinda have a feeling that since Buffy was occupied with Spike in season 6, the writers should find someone for Angel as well. That's how tv works.Also because crossovers were not supposed to happen...things had to find their own way.
Angel and Cordy love each other definitely, they have spent so many years together, they have worked together, they fought against enemies and each other(season 2,Angel before his epiphany) and they have become great friends.
