Does anyone else think it would have been funny if when Buffy jumped it didn't work?

at the time i had this thought and it made ma laugh- it would mean dawn would have had to jump anyway but really she deserved it if she hadnt have warned doc that spike was there by shouting "spike" then he would have had a surpise attakc and maybe things would have been different

Yeah, and Willow could had reserected her. But you know, Buffy was just doing her job by dieing so it wouldnt of really worked. She was being a sister.
 
When you're really close to dying, stuck on a extremely hight tower with a crazy demon guy, it's kinda hard to think about things like that. She was probably so happy to see Spike, that she just blurted out his name.
 
When i read htis for the first time it made me lol. so funny! Wouldn't make a great episode in place of the gift. But maybe there can be a What If?
Why don't you write a fanfic about it and post it in the fanfic section.
 
Hehe yes this title gave me a chuckle as well. 😀 Well Buffy saw the road/path to heaven...she probably wouldn't have come to the realization that it was for her to do without it...so luckily it worked out okay!
 
I laughed at first but then I thought, the fall would have killed her anyway when she jumped, so the scoobies would have one dead slayer, and an apocolpse on their hands. I think I just bring depression to the thread.... :sad26:

On the other hand it would have been funny if it happened to Dawn because hey! I hate Dawn! Ha! :rolleyes1
 
if buffy had of jumped because her and dawn had the same blood but it didnt work and the portal was still open the dawn would have to jump to close it- meaning bffy and dawn would die
 
It would be funny if Buffy had let Dawn jump it didn't work then Dawn just went smack on the floor. I can see that happening then Buffy just going 'Opps'.
 
that wouldve been funny. Like in the commercial for Scary Movie 3, where she jumps over the ledge and lands on the tree branch going "oh man"

I could see it now...

Dawn"But I have to jump Buffy!"
Buffy"No Dawny you cant!"

dawn goes running towards the portal and jumps into the air with tears flying from her face. Buffy runs to the end of the thingy to watch. As Dawn opens her eyes to see where she is she hits the ground and says "ow"

Buffy looks down at the ground and has a little laugh "Opps. Well I told you couldnt jump"

MadTv should do a scene like that, it would be great.
 
Huh, I guess it would be kinda ironic wouldn't it? Everyone would be like "crap. Ours friend's dead and were next if the twerp doesnt die!"
 
I just have a mental image of Buffy jumping and falling through the sky and going right past the mystical portal stuff, looking down and going "oh craaaaaaaaa" *splat*

when i read this i had to laugh because it really would have been funny.
but it's true that the fall would have killed her, and then dawn would have had to jump anyway, so then dawn would be dead too. and then the whole summers family would be dead.
but just the thought of it not working is really funny.

I would have laughed my ass off if when Damn said "I have to" Buffy said "ok" Dawn should have been thrown off...😛
Anyway, ultimately, the real ending made for a hell of an episode so I'm glad they did it the way they did. I just hated that the next season Dawn was such a b*tch to Buffy when she wasn't getting all the attention. She took EVERYTHING so damn personal...ya know what, she should have been thrown off the damn tower...after Buffy jumped Spike should have gone back up there with the Troll hammer and just smaked a homerun...lmao...
 
It would have been sad, because Buffy did this whole sacrifice speach, and then it would have been for nothing... It would be cool to see a parody of it, when Buffy jumps, and it doesn't work, so then Daen does, but it still doesn't work, so the scoobies keep climbing up and jumping off to find the right person, until the pile of bodies is so high there's only a four foot drop... I'm going to stop now because its late and I'm rambling...
