Does anyone have any information on "Ripper" (The new spin-off)

Like, when will it be out? And will it be shown in America, and on what channels? Any supporting cast members? The premise?
 
Ummm...I know there's a thread here somewhere where it talks about the supporting cast (try searching for 'Ripper')...they will all be Brits though. I think the premise is it's sort of a crime-fighting/supernatural show. I'm sorry I'm only vaguely remembering what I've read about it.

I heard PBS in America might pick it up...other than that I would say our best bet is BBC America. Especially since they've started airing Manchild with ASH. 🙂
 
I heard that they are still trying to get it up and running. I'll check the Buffy magazine again and see if they said something about it. I can't wait to see it!!!😛 😛
 
I can't wait for it and i'm wondering if BBC 2 or Channel 4 will pick it up...
 
bbc are producing it.there's something about it on the bbc website.its apparently going to be very different to giles on buffy.sitting at home alone,getting drunk and fighting his own inner demons aswell as real demons.
 
PBS in America? I doubt that it is that channel. That station is a public one that as a family and learning orientation and doesn't air series.

On the promotional trail for next month's BBC screening of his new show Manchild, Tony Head, has revealed a little more about the alleged status of Giles spin-off Ripper.

"It's been in gestation for a while, Tony told Time Out magazine. "Joss wrote a two-hour pilot. He only wants to do a short order, like a British drama series."

"Now I believe he's got an order for six, and the pilot stands slightly outside of that. So I think he's writing another episode to give to the BBC an idea of budget and where it's placed.

"I've suggested the West Country (a) because it's where I live and (b) because it's steeped in myth and tradition. Joss is up for that, but first he's got to break a series for Fox as part of his contract. He's also doing a movie, and the Buffy cartoon is on its way."

it's filmed in the uk, so if we can, me and Sunday are going to go to the studios. may be an impossible task but our love for ASH ill take us there.
