Does anyone know anything bout regurgitation?

A friend of mine needs to have some more tests done in hospital soon..So please could anyone explaqin it to me in a simple words? Is it really dangerous(he says it's not but he's a guy,so..)?? Does it always have to be treated with a surgery? Will be thankful for any info..

Ohh and by regurgitation I mean a condition when blood can flow back from where it came from in a heart,coz apparently he has a damaged valve

I had a friend who had this condition, she had one surgery and she has been fine ever since, but I don't know what they did exactly..I must call her and find out.

Ahh, I see. Your friend has a heart murmer. That's where the valve doesn't properly close and blood flows back through it when it should be going elsewhere. As it gets worse, and more blood seeps back through the valve, it can cause loss of blood pressure, and that leads to dizzyness and passing out, and in extreme cases can lead to loss of circulation in the hands, feet, arms and legs. That's bad, because it can cause damage in those areas. The surgery to correct it is not simple, but it has been refined for many years, and is very successful! My grandmother had this proceedure done, and she went from a stay-at-home to an energetic power walker in a couple of months! Good luck to your friend, ana, and don't worry...it's a safe, successful operation, and he'll feel lots better after!

I'm sorry that I can't offer any type of info on this ana8. But I sincerely hope that your friend will get better soon.

I found a site that might be of some help. According to what I got from it, there are different types of regurgitation. Each type has a different cause. It could have been caused by a heart attack but I don't think it could cause one. The doctors know they're doing. Don't worry yourself too much.

Well it's surgery, and thus the recovery is always kinda long..I mean after a week or so she was feeling back to normal. And within a month, she was BETTER than normal. Definitely worth the recovery time!!!! I'm not sure about travelling soon after it...that would be a doctors call for sure.

So does it mean that after the recovery he could let's say get back to working out on gym etc? And please don't tell me to ask him coz he's not even taking it seriously as he said.'It can't be anything serious,coz it doesn't hurt me that much', so as I won't call his doc..lol I guess I'll just ahve to annoy you Jenny for a lil while😉
