As best I recall, one of the doctors that championed lobotomies was murdered (or at least shot) by a vengeful woman he lobotomized over the results of the lobotomy.
I've been unable to find it online. I even read a couple of lengthy articles on the history of it and it was not mentioned. I finally asked Copilot (not the most reliable) out of desperation and it gave me the wrong person.
Given that there are some knowledgeable people here, including on the history of psychiatry, I thought I'd ask. Does anyone know of a doctor shot by someone (I'm pretty sure a woman) he lobotomized?
Or any other violence as long as it was in revenge. My recollection is so vague that maybe I've got the details wrong, and starting to wonder if I'm mistaken. Perhaps it was a different psychiatric procedure that someone took revenge for that then led to a lobotomy for the attacker, I don't know. I'm hoping someone here does.
