I know was her job get close to Bethany but I still there touch generally wanted to help Bethany.

Going by Lilah's overall behavior and attitudes, I doubt it.

However, Lilah does care for her own mother, and perhaps she could relate to something in Bethany (but this would not overcome Lilah doing her job who helped put that girl through hell). Makes me wonder of Lilah's backstory before she came to Wolfram & Hart...

I did not think Lilah genuinely cared for her; she's just really good at her job. She has fantastic people skills for a queen bitch. And dealing with people with low self esteem and problems that seem impossible to solve is like taking candy from a baby for her.
Despite that, it's clear that Lilah has a lot more of a heart than what she shows. I just don't think this particularly was an example of that.

Nope, she just manipulated an abused girl and pretended to be her friend and to want to help her. She's involved in W&H who hired some people to try to rape her.

LOL 😛

Lilah doesn't help.

She hired men to attempt to rape Bethany in an alleyway, and then brought her rapist father in to force a showdown. She refers to bringing the dad in as 'pulling the trigger'. She wanted an assassin for the firm. She wanted Bethany to learn to control her power in order to be an assassin. She did not care how much she had to hurt Bethany in order to teach her that control. Her manipulation and faux care for Bethany when she is in her house is frightening to watch, because it is so expertly done. But the fake naive 'there's a power about you, Bethany', and the way she stands watching Bethany have nightmares, with a big smirk on her face, absolutely tell us that her 'care' is pure manipulation.

I love Lilah - she is stone cold evil.

"Hi Bethany, do you remember your monstrous, incredibly abusive Dad? Because here he is! Ta-Dah, surprise!"

In a word, nope.

Not in the slightest. Lilah to me was one of the most evil people in the entire show. She was despite her charisma and sexiness a classic example of the banality of evil. No great ideology, no personal vendettas, no super powers. She is just happy to **** over anyone to make herself rich and powerful.

There are sadly many people like that in the real world. There are a few moments where she shows maybe some humanity, like killing Billy (even then it was just for revenge I think, but that's still more humanity in terms of not just swallowing whatever was thrown her way to get to the top like she would normally do.) Also her being touched by Wesley trying to help her I think was real. It was probably the first time she understood that someone would do something for someone else with nothing to gain for themselves. Even Angel I think she probably felt was just being a good guy to get his reward, or ease his conscience or because he liked playing the hero, but Wesley, because his noble act was directed at her and she's a narcissist LOL. That maybe did move her for the first time.

Other than that yeah, no she was a selfish bitch who would murder a baby if she thought it could get her more promotion. She absolutely saw Bethany as a tool and again was happy to risk her being raped if she thought it could get her a promotion.
