I don't think we're "supposed" to do anything. I could share my observations on this later, and how I came to think our existence doesn't obligate us to do anything, but I'm not up for that now.
I think that question has been so discussed over the course of humanity history that it turned out to be the main reason of our existence. It's actually crazy to think that one simple question that hasn't been answered yet is the reason many people live for. We'll never answer it though, because the question itself is its answer.
I don't even know what I'm saying, I'm just feeling really conspirancy today.
You leave behind a rotting corpse unless you have donated organs in which case, some of you is still there until the recipient dies. What you leave behind is of no consequence; what you take away in the form of skills and tendencies is the most important part of life.
I do not wonder anymore. I know why I am here. I am here on earth to appreciate its beauty, to learn how to cope in harsh conditions and to learn how to care for my soul in preparation for the next life. I have no doubt my reason for being is for my soul to continue to live after human death and take the lessons I have learned from Earth with me.
I'd like to think we'd all die, in a mass die off, and leave the earth behind. Unharmed by our presence. The earth should flourish with an abundance and variety of life, not the parasitic species that humans are.
