Dollhouse book!

Thanks to Skytteflickan I discovered that a book about "Dollhouse" is about to be released, I for one am quite excited about this.

It's called "Inside Joss' Dollhouse: From Alpha to Rossum"and it's by none other than Jane Espenson

Oh cool. That looks like it could be quite interesting. I think I'll try and get that because I'm really interested in the dystopic, humanist concepts.

I've got an idea for an essay of my own but I don't have the time or the resources at the moment.

My guess is that it's similar to the "Seven seasons of Buffy" and "Five seasons of Angel" essay compilations.

It's not a novel or anything like that. It'll be as Taake said, a compilation of essays. It's become a quite big area in academia now, TV and film essays.

I guess these are the winners in the competition some time ago where you could enter your own essays. Jane Espenson was involved in that. I was going to write one but never had the time. Got one published in Slayage though (the online academic journal).

Yes, but maybe I was too vague, my essay wasn't about Dollhouse, mostly about Buffy (but there's some Dollhouse there too...):

I think they had a contest a few months back for people to submit their own essays to it. I was going to submit one but it wasn't long enough.

I have only read four of the essays so far but I'm loving this book. It's very interesting and funny. I'd recommend you to buy it for sure 😀
