Dollhouse Now On Hulu!

Not sure a video is needed to demonstrate a simple software download.

I also feel the need to let people know just how unstable hotspot shield can be to vista users. Ive been using hotspot shield for a while now allowing anonymous downloads but with vista I began getting regular blue screens. This is a well documented problem:

hssdrv.sys - Google Search

If anyone gets this error, please let me know and ill help you fix it, its not as simple as uninstalling hotspot shield unfortunately.

Please remember to keep all discussion on how to watch Dollhouse and other shows legal, and not about methods of circumventing copyright protection.
I would normally let these things go but since my post was edited, ...i wont.

In fact, using HSheild with hulu still allows for adverts. This is how hulu exists in the first place, advertising. Using HShield along with hulu DOES NOT, under current US law under the digital copyright millennium act constitute illegal activity. This is to do with the way copyright is held and how funding for shows is attributed to advertisers in online viewing (see writers strike for more info). Its a loop hole sure, but the fact that you are viewing the material as intented with full advertising breaks allows this to be a completely legal excercise.... for now.

Copyright violation and viewing content as the network intended are very different and as of Feb 2009, it is not illegal to view US media from other countries in the way it is currently provided. This discussion would almost be humorous if it wasn't so often but the minute a 'download' or 'online viewing' is mentioned its immediately viewed as illegal or foul play, honestly, its getting a little tiresome.

As of February 2009 the BB FAQ states
The discussion of distribution of illegally-obtained episodes of the show is not allowed. Please do not post about downloading episodes / other items from the net, as it can result in our site being shut down. Such discussion will be deleted.
I can't blame the staff for being twitchy on this, as I wouldn't want to be called to court in a potential test case about circumventing copyright protection. It would probably be advisable to keep such discussion off the open boards...however, surely the staff couldn't be held responsible if it were discussed via PM or in the BB chat...

the point is its not illegal. Thus invalidating the accusation against forum rules.

I agree with you 100% BUT lets suppose that the first time it is taken to court it is this site that is cited.

I would rather keep this site up and running then risk, no matter how small, that closure.

Its not against forum rules, but you know that it is only a matter of time before Hotspot Shield pisses off Fox et al and they look for people to take their shit out on.

Even if it IS a remote chance.

Al, you beat me to the point

The point is that unless you are a fully qualified lawyer with experience in prosecuting or defending such cases and willing to defend BB-er's to the hilt, you should cut the staff here a little slack if they are unwilling to get involved in legal grey areas and accept the board rules until such time as they are changed.

Well I'm not gonna let anyone take away BB from me!
My comments were never directed at staff, only the preconceived notions people have

im going to avoid replying in this topic from now on since i already know and more importantly have already seen the result of such discussions. Just know that fear mongering and this idea of the all-knowing 'man' are ridiculous arguments that i will not be a part of. The thought that FOX would take down BB for mentioning viewing practices is far beyond laughable, in fact i dont have the words...

Fox Wants Buffy Fan Sites Slain
Redlasso Shuts Down In Response To Fox/NBC Lawsuit
Fox Hunts Down YouTube Users

These, while not exactly the same shows that Fox do watch the internet and anything that does in someone infringe on their property is taken to task.

This site could easily be held accountable for the promotion of Hotspot Shield IF even one public thread wasn't dealt with by the staff and then BS gets herself a nice little letter and we all part company.

None of that is worth this discussion, so to err on the side of caution in matters such as this is always best.
