I also thought the opening theme was anemic.
Other than that, Joss is definitely back in the saddle!
Compelling concept, interesting mix of characters.
Let's hope that Fox does not muck this up like they have before.
I actually really enjoyed the theme song but I thought the images that went with it were a little dry. Soon enough though, I'm sure to be humming the song at work... just like Buffy, Angel & Firefly... ahhhh bliss...
The them was ok. If its the same as the one we saw earlier with the words then im glad they took it out. I Think Firefly was the only show that worked best with words.
The theme was nowhere near as memorable as any of the others. That is, granted, partially the sea breeze talking. However, I think he could have done a much better job with it. I think it was my least favourite part. Firefly had the best theme (well, Firefly was the best, imo... and of course it's the one he's not gonna do anymore with... stupid writer egos... >_>), but Buffy and Angel each had a stronger opening theme and images than Dollhouse. So I'm with y'all.
I personally like it...the song could have been different but I liked that it was slower...and the visuals and text was all beautifully done...I think it's the most visually appealing title sequence Joss has done.
I thought it was alright i didn't really think the music went with the images. But i didn't like the Angel credits at first but by season 5 i was humming along! so i could change! 😀
The song could be better, but I really loved the visuals, they made the show look desirable, something you'd really want to watch. I'll probably get used to the theme song, though. The credits are pretty good. 🙂
I don´t mind it at all. I think the show suits the theme of the series. Not if you see it as an actionshow. More like the whole "playing with peoples minds" theme. Like the dolls state of mind then they´re "clean". But one have to wonder what the other actors/actresses think. Sure Eliza is the big star (lead character) but not showing any of the others seems a bit onesided to me.
I really liked the theme. Granted, it didn't have the same 'punch' as the Buffy and Angel songs, but it fit with the visuals and the little twinkly bit at the end around the show name gave it a little extra something.
I agree though that not showing any of the other characters in the credits is a bit odd.
I actually love the song. It's not as catchy but it's so much different from what we would imagine that it actually works. The images where not as strong but still Ok. Again, reminds me a lot of Tru Calling
