Which Eliza show do you prefer and is your favorite for those who have seen both shows?

1): Dollhouse
2): Tru Calling

I hated "Dollhouse", so I have to say "Tru Calling". I actually liked "Tru Calling", from what I saw of that show. I didn't watch all of it, but I liked the episodes I watched of it, and thought she had a nice chemistry with the cast and liked the premise a lot better than "Dollhouse".

Dollhouse, a thousand times Dollhouse. I love it and I re-watch it regularly. I'll admit it's a bit of a diamond in the rough, things could have been done better but though I found Tru Calling somewhat appealing when it aired re-watching it basically makes me fall asleep. It's fine but Tru is kind of annoying a lot of the times and the plots were so-so.

Dollhouse is an amazing show that just wasn't executed properly. Well, it was at times...there are some incredibly awesome episodes in that series. I appreciate that show and it was definitely better than Tru Calling, in my opinion. I wish that the first couple of episodes had been better, I have no clue why Joss decided to go with Ghost as the series premiere. I tried watching Dollhouse when it first came on but the first episode I saw was Stage Fright and it was so bad that I just stopped watching.

I finished it on Netflix recently and yes I believe that it was better than Tru Calling. It had a great premise and it was well written...at times haha. The ending of the show could have been so much better. It was such an interesting concept and it just sucks that it wasn't well received.

I liked "Tru Calling," and think that it was cancelled way too soon for the show to have reached it's "Tru" potential. Given another full season to develop the story line, it would have almost certainly attracted more fans. Unfortunately, it was a slow starter, and too many people didn't have the patience to let it develop. Also, more than a few were wanting to see the equivalent of "Tru, the Vampire Slayer," and that's just not what the show ever was or even attempted to be. Tru was brave and dedicated to her mission, but she wasn't the same kind of kick ass character that everyone wanted to see Eliza play.

Very true.
I agree with white avenger that Eliza's character in Tru Calling was different to what we had seen her play in the past and that's why I prefer that over Dollhouse. Although I did really enjoy Dollhouse as well.

I liked that Tru Calling showed the sacrifices that Tru had to make to her own personal life in order for her to save the people she needed.

I actually liked "Tru Calling" when it first came out. It was a nice distraction, but nothing to keep me interested. Yes, Dollhouse started off rough, and some things could've been done better, but when Dollhouse was good, it was goooooooooood. "Belonging", "The Attic" and the Epitaphs remains some of my favorite episodes of any TV show ever. Dollhouse had a brilliant concept, and it made you think. The scary part about it was, it felt like this could really happen. It's about technology, and power, and the basic concept of who a person really is, and I've never seen a show raise those kinds of questions before. So for that, I have to give credit where credit's due. I love Dollhouse. Doesn't deserve the flack it gets.

I pick "Faith the Vampire Slayer" which didn't get made because of the latter.....

Oh, wait...Was that not an option? Oops...

Dollhouse, then. It was incredibly original, which is terribly hard to find in the sea of cop and "reality" shows.

Dollhouse had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, because Echo lost her memory every episode I never fully connected with her. Tru Calling had more character building much faster, in my opinion. Both good shows but I liked Tru from the first episode I watched and I had to try a lot harder to keep watching Dollhouse!

Dollhouse, Dollhouse, Dollhouse (looks around and sees that no one looks surprised by my choice)

I adore Dollhouse so much, man that was a nailbiter. I enjoyed Tru Calling on TV but the only reason was Harrison and Tru's boss, Tru herself was incredibly annoying (!), the episodes so stressful and the whole plot with her dad and mom... meh overreaching and just meh. For me Dollhouse is one of those shows that gets stronger and stronger each re-watch, there are so many nuances to the show, but Tru Calling just gets boring and kind of lame as, to me, it just appears more shallow each time I view it.

I loved Dollhouse. Well, sometimes. The concept of the show was so great but it just wasn't executed properly, grr! There were some absolutely fantastic episodes that really made me think...and then there were others that made me want to hurl myself out of a window.

I watched Tru Calling for a while when it first aired, but to be fair it is so hard for me to watch a show weekly. I didn't watch Dollhouse until it was on Netflix.

I say Dollhouse because that show was created by Joss. But Tru Calling was alright. It's shame it didn't last.

I like both shows but comparing them as a whole the choice gets easy. Dollhouse. Tru calling was ok and started to get really interesting when it got cancelled. I wish it could have least gotten a full second season. I got the dvd's but even if I've seen Dollhouse, or at least certain episodes, a few times since it aired I'm sure that'll be the show I watch again of the two.

Dollhouse is uneven but at it's best it's really great. Seeing just the first episodes I get if it seemed boring and the dolls losing their memory all the time can't have helped. It don't continue like that for 2 seasons though. Not at all. The concept may seem like science fiction at first but it isn't as far fetched as you might think. It got characters I feel for a lot more than in Tru Calling which is a big + for me. Also I change my opinions of characters throughout the show. They I loved or hated in the beginning I rarely had the same feelings for in the end. Some I changed my mind about a lot. Keeps things interesting if nothing else.

I don't love all episodes of Dollhouse. But hey, I don't love all Buffy episodes either.

I feel like a traitor for saying this, but I definitely preferred Tru Calling, and was devastated by it's cancellation.

Personally I don't see why you should feel like that.
Not a fan of Dollhouse at all but I really liked Tru Calling when it came out. It wasn't exactly gripping but it was nice enough for what it was.

Just started watching Tru Calling this morning (was getting tired of watching Friends all day long) and from what I've seen so far, it's just as good as Dollhouse, just in a very different way. I admire Eliza, though, because she's a brilliant actress for being able to play such different characters 🙂
