"Dollhouse" Outside The U S

Was very suprised to hear that Dollhouse will be shown here in Sweden with start already on Sunday, April 19th.
Think it was Friendly Lurker that posted this somewhere.

Not so happy when I finally found which channel it was on though.
It's on a channel called TV400. I barely knew it existed myself.
Guess they don't expect that many viewers...
Noticed that I can get that channel on my cable though. Will change my channels so I can see it just for the sake if it.

It says 13 episodes btw. If thats true we will get to see all episode at least.

/SK

Buffy, Angel and Firefly didn't do that well in Sweden, so I guess it's logical that Dollhouse is shown on a second-rate channel like TV400. It's not going to help the viewer numbers, though! I will dutifully re-watch the episodes and help them a bit, before buying the DVD of course...

TV400, sunday night at 22.25 (that's 10.25 pm for you "weird" people 😉). Yep, lots of viewers it's gonna get... But one should be happy that we get it that fast. We know any other country that airs it before us? Except for the US of course. What I'm most curious about is if there will ever be a dvd-edition with swedish subtitles? I know it's much more common nowdays so I hope so. But Firefly still haven't got any so I don't feel sure. But of course I'll buy the dvd's in time with out without subtitles.

Wel, if they're gonna show it on Swedish TV already, shouldn't they already have the subtitles? And if they have them I don't see a reason why they shouldn't pack them on the DVDs.

Oh if things were that easy... I can't say how it is in other countries but if you compare the subtitles from dvd's with the ones shown on tv be it shows or movies they can differ quite a lot. So sadly, that it's shown on tv don't mean a thing.

Hi,

In my last post I added a link to a site that has Dollhouse available for on line viewing. That post was edited because apparently the site carries Illegal content, and I was advised not to link to illegal content. This is a mystery to me because -

A, Someone actually followed the link to check out the legality of the site or

B. Someone is so informed about these things that they know what is and what isn't or who is and who isn't authorized.

I for one don't care, am not an entertainment lawyer and do not fight the RIAA's or whoever's battles for them as a hobby in my spare time.

So, like sorry but as they say, poop happens. I imagine the PTB's could get snotty over a thing like this but again (see previous)
Uncle Rory.

There was already a warning posted in this topic about keeping the links to legal sites, and you were asked to contact a mod first if you were not sure in the same post. You may not care, but we do - it's not unknown for publishers like Fox to have websites shut down for facilitating the illegal viewing of their content. You may not have to deal with the legal issues in your spare time, but we do.

And, just so you know, both A and B are true. We know that the site you linked to was linking to illegally hosted content. Only Fox.com, Hulu, and iTunes have the rights to host episodes of Dollhouse.

Now, I've made this post public because, a) we want our policy on this issue to be crystal clear, and b) you seem happy to discuss your post in public. However, this topic is not a discussion of our policy, nor is it a place to air your thoughts on how moderators do their jobs. If you have a problem, feel free to contact a moderator, super-moderator, or admin. Don't take threads off topic.

Again, if links are posted to sites illegally hosting episodes of Dollhouse (or anything else) however indirectly, they will be removed. Again, if you do not know whether the link you wish to post is ok contact a moderator first.
