My Dollhouse dvds have a rating of 15, not sure what is in other countries but do you think this is the right rating?

If Season 1 of Angel got an 18 rating, so should have Dollhouse.
In my opinion, your average 15 year old is old enough to watch Buffy and Angel (even season 6), but Dollhouse should wait another year or two simply because of the subject matter it deals with.

I'd say 15 is about right. Dollhouse isn't that graphic in terms of sex or violence but given its very concept (basically brainwashed prostitution) it does deal with lots of murky morality and issues around consent.

If Dollhouse was a movie, it would probably get a PG-13 rating.
For us of the boomer generation, puberty was age 13. For my daughter and most of her generation, it was age 11. This reduction of the age of puberty means that there had better be some training about consent and the law, none of which we ever had. The morality of consent and coercion should be part of every school curriculum and should happen long before puberty.

Where I’m from, we teach very deep subject matter texts to 9th graders (14-15 years old). The Scarlet Letter, Great Expectations, The Great Gatsby, etc. Some of the themes explored in texts such as this are very much in line with the themes in Dollhouse. So I would say 15 is about on par with appropriateness

I think that's a pretty accurate rating. Except for one scene in Belonging that should maybe only be shown to a teen with proper discretion, I didn't think it was anything that a more mature late teen hasn't likely already seen on TV or in movies.
