Dollhouse Ratings Watch!

I will take anything i can get!! And on the website i download Dollhouse from they have a list of top 12 vids downloaded that day...and dollhouse was 6th just behind lost 😀
 
I'm sure Fox is going to be paying the most attention to the final three episodes with the "Prison Break" lead-in. If those episodes can average above 4 million viewers, there might be hope.

Lots of DVD pre-orders might help, too.
 
Man while watching TV yesterday Prison Break was promoted like 4 times and I only saw 1 damn promo for T:SCC and DH! 1 this is the worst promoting EVER!!! WTF were they seriously thinking when they decided a freaking fri night huh?!?!?!? Were they to busy to think? cause it looks like they have their heads up their A**ES!!!

Is there ANYWAY Joss can move this show to another network like Buffy did from WB to UPN? what would it take to do that?
 
Other networks being interested in the show and willing to keep the budget. But I could only see this show moving to CW and thats even stretching it. Problem is, Eliza has a contract with Fox so there would be no way for her to appear on the show if moved to a station not run by Fox.

But I am interested in how PB will go ratings wise, since if does just as bad as DH and SCC, 4million or below than Fox cant say that people just werent interested in the show.

3.38 million. Even worse than Dollhouse. 😛

Edit: Prison Break replaced Terminator, not Dollhouse. People have been hoping that Prison Break will be a better lead-in but evidently now!
 
This is a bad thing in that Dollhouse clearly won't be getting a ratings boost from having a stronger lead-in.

But it's a good thing in that it proves to Fox that even popular shows pitch over and die when they're stuck in the Friday Night Death Slot. So it's not Dollhouse's fault that it's failing to attract a big audience... it's the horrible time slot.

They need to conclude that Friday nights are for putting on Grandma shows like "Matlock" and "Murder, She Wrote" and family stuff like "Dr. Quinn."

Edgy shows targeted at young people CANNOT succeed on this night anymore.

It baffles me, that like every single person watching know this and understands it, but Fox don't, it's so odd!

I can't shake the suspicion that Fox DOES know this, and they've been using Dollhouse to experiment with what happens when an audience doesn't have easy access to a show they want to watch. Will they DVR it? (Yes). Will they download it? (Yes).

Joss mentioned that when the Fox people made their "reassurance" phone call to him the other day, they were talking about how "it's not a Nielsen world anymore." If they actually did say that, it's significant. It means Fox realizes that the Nielsens just aren't a viable way of measuring a show's reach anymore, and are trying to get ahead of the curve in figuring out how to make money in the new world the viewers are imposing on them whether they like it or not.

Most of the networks (and critics) seem to be sitting there with their arms stubbornly folded, saying "Sorry, if the viewers aren't sitting there gathered around the TV set when the show starts, just like they did for Milton Berle in 1955, then they don't exist."

Using the Nielsens to measure a show like this, in a timeslot like this, is like trying to find out the most popular Xbox game by only calling people over 65 with rotary phones, or taking a poll on gas prices by only asking people who ride the bus.
 
Does anyone know when we find out if this thing gets picked up or not? A lot of other stations are already confirming Fall schedules... FOX is the only one I really care about (props to FOX for having so many great shows!)

"Fox says they will be officially announcing the fall schedule on May 18th." About Dollhouse specifically, it could be earlier though. =)
