He does have a resemblance to Gyllenhaal now that you mention it, it's the intensity in the eyes I think more than his actual looks 🙂

I'm not sure if I really want to carry on watching 'Dollhouse' after seeing episode three. Does it get better from here?

It gets miles better once the season picks up. I say stick with it, at least try to finish season 1. By then you'll really get a feel of what the show is.
Oh it get's so much better. I had this feeling too first time I watched it so I completely understand you. I'm so happy I contined though
