Echo's previous romantic engagements begin to surface as murder victims one by one. Alpha (guest star Alan Tudyk) has returned with his murderous obsession with Echo to seek his revenge. DeWitt begins to grow increasingly suspicious of Ballard. Echo, Ballard and Langton recruit Topher into their conspiracy to take down the Dollhouse. Alpha shows up in Adelle's office and reveals that Ballard and Echo were together through those three missing months. Alpha uses an upgraded piece of technology from "Gray Hour" to make the dolls turn on the Dollhouse staff and captures Ballard, who he feels is the only real competition he has for Echo's affections. Topher and Langton manage to restore order with Topher's new remote wipe technology but not before Alpha imprints himself with Ballard and tortures Ballard to the point of causing permanent brain damage, leaving Paul in a vegetative state. Echo fights Alpha and Ballard's mind takes over for a moment, begging her to kill him. She is unable to kill Paul, however, and Alpha, shaken, regains control and runs from the Dollhouse. Echo is seen with Ballard, who is on life support machines.*

Alpha's back! And not any less creepy. Got a bigger knife too.

Poor Echo. Not that fun to return to the dollhouse.

"I know a conspiracy when I'm desperately try to avoid seeing one."

Harry Potter referens. Topher is such a geek and I love him for it.

Topher meeting the self aware Echo. How can you not love him? "She's funny! Is that a good sign?"

"I am obsolete. This must be how old people feel like. And Blockbuster."

Adelle putting pressure on Paul. "Echo was missing for three months. It stands to reason someone was helping her. If it wasn't Alpha, who was it? Do you have an alternate explanation? Thought as much." Not much he can say at this point without admitting that he's been with Echo.

The evil genius of Alpha. He sure made a perfect plan. But why is he killing all these clients? Is it as simple as jealousy? As we find out later, no. It's much "better" than that.

"There are many parts of me that know that this is wrong, none that care. And six that just find it funny."

Rebecca knows where to find Joel. So the question from Man on the street remains. Can they make an imprint from a dead body or how else do they have all these memories.

If Rebecca is the one that knows how to find Joel why not imprint another doll than Echo? Sure Echo is the one he's used to seeing but still if finding him was the main objective there's no reason to use Echo. Besides the obvious "we need to use Eliza" but I don't count that.

Alpha's in the building. Let the fun begin. Love how Adelle tries to keep calm while being terrified.

I don't get the Brummel reference

Monthy pyton reference?

"Did they eat my brains?"

"Huh. When did you die?" Oh Paul. 🙁 Although I have to be honest. I don't love Paul as much as many of you seem to do. Still, not like I wanted to see him braindead.

Oh, oh... Alpha's back. Looking good though!

Lol at how Adelle keep strying to get Victor in the chair and he just talks and talks XD

Topher is feeling so overwhelmed(sp??). He's even weirder than usual

Oh yeah Adelle, sure... Echo tried to kick Alpha's ass and hates him, but they surely worked together while she was away... Does she realize how stupid this theory sounds?

The building top scene!!! Creepy but oh so cool!

Alpha might be crazy, but he's got style! And he kinda reminds me of Moriarty in Sherlock.

Way to go to reassure a guy, Topher 😛

Alpha's home!

So what, all the dolls are sleepers?

Paul 🙁 Bad Alpha, bad!

"It's a manufacturing room, not a it's finished room!"
Oh Topher, always joking even in a crisis.

Paul asking Echo to kill him = me in tears

The last scene when she looks at him while he's hooked up to the machines... :'(

One of my favorite Dollhouse quotes lol.

I'm right there with you. 🙁

Other thoughts:
-This is one of the best season 2 eps IMO.
-Alpha's back!!! And better than ever. 🙂
-Matt Cargill- poor bastard.
-Joel Mynor & Paul Ballard- love seeing them together again lol.
-Paul was the target: Echo loves Paul.
-"You don't get past this, it just becomes a part of who you are". Any of us who have experienced the loss of a loved one knows how true this is.
-Love that whole Joel/Rebecca goodbye. I'm so glad we got to see him again.
-Suite at the Hyperion- squee!!!

I absolutely love Topher. The fact that he's covering for Echo with Adelle. I wonder if that's because he now cares about the Dolls or if its because Adelle betrayed him. Either way his reaction to Echo was hillarious.

I really hate Adelle. She's gone completely off the rails. I cant believe how much she hates Echo.

The guy who books Alison doesnt just book her on his birthday, he booked her twice in season 1, the second time was when she left him to go to the college.

So what, all the dolls are sleepers?

I dont think all the dolls were sleepers. Alpha asks Adelle whether she put all the Dolls in the chair when they got his message and she asks why. Then he turns on his remote wipe device and the Actives go all kill happy. He programmed Sierra with a virus and when she was wiped the chair was infected with an assassin trigger.

Alpha is so amazing. I really cant wait to see how he changes to become the one who helps with Safe Haven.

Poor Paul and Echo, both being in love with each other.

Huh? I don't get this. I think I need to watch that part again. 🙂

I'm with Jules. They talk about Sierra infecting the chair/programme. By putting all the dolls in the chair (Adelle think it's to protect/check the dolls) the dolls get the sleeper/assasin imprint. Clever virus.
