Bennett reveals that she and Caroline were once friends, and uploads a memory of Caroline's betrayal, in which she left Bennett trapped under debris after an explosion. Meanwhile, Adelle and Topher travel to the D.C. Dollhouse, where Adelle matches wits with its head of household, Stewart Lipman (Ray Wise), and Topher tries to gain access to Perrin's brain scans and unravel the plot. To aid in this, Topher has imprinted Victor with Topher's own personality (a performance which earned Enver Gjokaj widespread critical acclaim). Perrin escapes with Echo into the real world, determined to bring down Rossum and expose everything, with Cindy in hot pursuit. Adelle meets with Lipman, who reveals Perrin will have Rossum vindicated at the Senate hearings and attack their competitors so that Rossum will be unopposed and given free political rein. Bennett and Topher, though distracted by a mutual (if extremely awkward) infatuation with each other, adapt Topher's incapacitating device to remotely knock out Dolls based on their unique brain scans, and Bennett surreptitiously programs Perrin to kill Echo. Topher knocks Bennett out and overrides the programming with help from Victor/Topher, but not until after Perrin kills Cindy. Perrin then shows up at the hearing late and reveals his wife is dead; he pronounces Rossum a good corporation who has been set up by their immoral competitors, that there is no Dollhouse, and that Madeline Costley is a disturbed woman who was in a mental institution in Canada. Madeline is forced back into service against her will at the D.C. Dollhouse. Back in LA, Topher reveals that Perrin could never turn against Rossum, and DeWitt speculates that Rossum is likely grooming him to be the next President of the United States. Echo is loose in the world at large, Ballard has not checked in recently, and Rossum appears ascendant...*

Echo and Bennett have a shocking meeting as Adelle goes head-to-head with the ruthless head of the DC Dollhouse (guest star Ray Wise). Topher sees double when he must involve Victor in his espionage. Senator Perrin finds a surprising witness to testify against the Rossum Corporation, but find he may be living in a house of cards.

Paul and Sierra are abscent in the episode.

So on to my thoughts.

Bennett sure hates Caroline. At least it doesn't take that long before she shares why.

Topher in the limo. 😀

Victor as Topher. Enver. :: red :: :: red :: :: red ::

Topher thinking Bennett is a genius. Bennett crushing on Topher. Adorable. And akward. Pretty much as me. Just not a genius.

"Compromise can be fun." Pain, pain. So much pain. "Tell me if I've learned how to bluff."

Topher trying to tase Bennett. You never know who's a doll.

"Dolls are beautiful.
Yeah."


"I'm doing the english part. That's new." I'm guessing some find the giggly akwardness annoying but so far I find it cute.

Perrin attacking Echo give me vibes of Terminator.

"Then shut up and work.
I'm already working! I wouldn't hold your breath on the shutting up.
No. I wouldn't."

The ending. Poor Madeline. Erasing memories or becoming a doll once again?

Echo out and about the real world. Interesting.
 
Aww poor senator Perrin. His handler is one heck of a b*tch!

Topher looks like a child in the limo. He's adorkable!

Adele can play rough when she wants to.

Two geek having a crush on each other. If Bennett wasn't a villain, I'd totally root for them!

Bennett crushing her head into the monitor... She's crazier than crazy!

Of course, when the retrieving team arrives, they've taken off their GPS. Why don't they ever think of that in TV shows?

Perrin's house... Is it the same as the one we saw in Much Ado About Nothing's trailer? (Which, if I remember the interview correctly, would be Joss' house)

I wish Victor would have stayed Topher #2. It would have been cool to have 2 Tophers going around XD

Huh, could be. I know that it does seem that they re-use sets/locales a lot in this show, to save money. Have we seen Whedon's house before in this show?

I adore it in this episode! But I wonder if it would've gotten old.

More thoughts:
-I kind of hate Bennett in here, and Mrs. Perrin.
-Bad-ass Adelle! I love her.
-"Wasabi peas." "I'm excited and scared". Hahahahaha!!!
-"How do you know when you're finished". Hmm, great question for all of us!
-"There is no Dollhouse". OMG, poor Madeline!!
-"Finding him obstinate, are we?" LOL
 
Bennett is one crazy manipulative b***h. Seeing what happened though you can understand why she doesnt like Caroline. I dont like Caroline, she's really not someone the audience can feel any sympathy for.

Victor was amzing as Topher, he got everything perfect. It was awful that Madeline got sent back to the Dollhouse. Its such a turn for her character. When she left the Dollhouse she was happy, she even thanked Adelle. It just shows that The Dollhouse will manipulate anyone to get when they want.

Adelle was amazing. I love that she gets protective of her Actives. She's such a force to be reconned with.

I loved watching Daniel and Echo together. Alexis and Eliza have great chemestry. Its ashame that Daniel went back to the Dollhouse after everything they did to him.
