Dollhouse, Stargate Universe nerd patrol

I dont know where else to put this.. I dont really dig on the stargate offshoots, but as I have had the WhineFlu I took to watching Stargate: Universe (though it should be called Stargate Voyager but that is another matter) and I must confess.. there is a nerd acting school in hollywood.. Franz Kranz's Topher Brink and David Blue's Eli Wallace from Dollhouse and Stargate respectively both are like mad computer geek geniustypes.. but the comparison doesn't end there. Speech, mannerism, body language, sense of humor and to a degree even clothes are almost interchangeable.

Has anyone else noticed? Is there in fact a Nerd Method Acting 101 out there in Hollywood that churns out these? Anyone notice any others?
