What would eventuate if Xander had been offered the wish by The Vengeance Demon Anyanka?

Xander was not prepared for Anyanka’s retort, though soon he saw his wants to be eventuated. Buffy actually had to do what she was chosen to do, all and any vampire who she met or saw would become a suitable recipient of her slayer ability. Buffy had arrived in Sunnydale with a mother who was aware what her daughter had been chosen to do.

Joyce was supportive of her daughter and gave here support in her role as a vampire slayer. Joyce made a feature in the shop about how vampires had been hunted throughout history, she had given Buffy several carvings of Vampire Slayers through time. Buffy’s bedroom sported two chest of draws, one for her clothes and one for her weapons.

Did Buffy have any boyfriends? Was any boy capable of being capable of keeping up with her? Buffy took her role quite seriously and only her Watcher and Willow knew of her. Xander was suspicious of what Buffy did though that was only because of what she said to Willow and how Willow’s attitude changed to the carrying wooden weapons and her interest in the beings of hell.

Xander’s wish was that no creature from hell should be allowed to live in or near Sunnydale, he wanted to help Willow, what Xander had thought of was anywhere on the ground, it hadn’t occurred to him to include all creatures who came from hell, who could escape from the mouth of hell to the to be in Sunnydale. All Anyanka said to him when he had said his wish was Done!

The Master waited in his domain under the cliffs near the town site of Sunnydale, those of his inner sanctum were too few. A favourite of his was the vicious Darla, though quite beautiful to behold she had inflicted great suffering on any who she didn’t like who had tried to get to close to her. It was her willingness to inflict great pain on others that had taken her to dislike Buffy.

The vampire Angel had become a favourite of hers, and while he had continued to enjoy the pain installed in his victims Darla did like to be known as his friend. That drew to a close when a gypsy clan took their revenge on him, they gave him a soul. Angel tried to keep Darla as a special friend then being ignored and hated he tried to make the slayer like him.

Buffy took to him as many a young girl would, though Buffy could feel that he was a vampire and even though he was not trying to entrap her she saw great opportunity to have him lead her to where other vampire would gather. Before too long Buffy became aware where many vampires would meet, telling her watcher and Willow of her plans she set her plan in motion.

Darla heard of Buffy’s desire to kill Angel, that upset her as Darla wanted to be the one to kill Angel. Soon Buffy realised that she was targeted by Darla, she thought it was only because she was the slayer Buffy was astounded to discover that Darla wanted to kill Angel, it was Buffy’s desire to kill Angel that had brought her to be a threat.

Darla taught Buffy how she could go about killing, Angel was lured into a place where demons were said to congregate by Darla.. Buffy had followed Angel at a safe distance and though Buffy found Darla there as well Buffy knew she had to prioritize her kills. She crept to near Angel and while he worshipped a demon Buffy slid a pointed stake into his chest cavity, into his heart.

Buffy was happy that her watcher was pleased though she was unaware that Darla was of two minds as she had wanted to kill Angel though she was pleased that Angel had been killed. The Master found himself at odds with himself, he needed to help Darla be happy with the outcome yet unhappy it was done by their most hated human.

Even though Xander was unaware of the results of his wish the word had spread through the ranks of all vengeance demons. Anyanka was greeted with high praise from her peers. Buffy had become well known in the demon community that wasn’t known to her until Willow accidentally confronted a vampire during one of her spells being placed on a Hellmouth.

The demon in the Hellmouth spoke of Buffy much to Willows amazement, as up until then she had no knowledge that hell knew of Buffy, but to find out that the name of Buffy was regarded with such honour caused her wonder, it caused Buffy and her watcher much honour as well.

Darla had decided to follow Buffy to see if there was a place she often went to. For about a two weeks Darla followed Buffy she learnt during that time at what distance was needed so the slayer was unaware of her presence. It was during that time that Darla discovered Buffy would often go to the school library.

Darla also discovered her presence could be masked from the slayer when many other people were present. Of great help to Darla was knowing that some of the slayers friends did not have prior knowledge of a vampires presence, Darla needed to be just as careful of them as they had to watch who was following them, they noticed when a person was seen too often.

Darla began to be able to follow the slayer at no risk to herself to top all that she told The Master all of what she learnt. He was able to use Darla’s findings for any attack on the humans. Buffy’s inner sanctum consisted of Willow, Xander and the Watcher Mr. Price and the schools librarian who had been the vampire slayers watcher.

Buffy allowed them to act as a watcher to her though she had little regard for their supposed jurisdiction over her. According to her Merrick had been the last proper watcher as he was chosen by the Powers That Be they were not they were chosen by a mere group of humans. The schools librarian accepted her values though Mr. Price insisted Buffy adhere to his control.

Even Darla saw he had little value even when he was not around the schools librarian would give Buffy a list of the vampires who had often been seen in the schools grounds. Willow told the librarian about a boy from school who might be suitable to assist them. Buffy ordered that the boy spend a varied several hours each day in the clock tower.

He was chosen to spend time there to watch for any non-school children or teachers who often attended the grounds. Willow had also been spending time following her past time of magic, she had looked at the beliefs of wicca or the beliefs of the witch, Willow decided to follow witchcraft it gave a greater freedom to follow as the three fold law might reflect when killing vampires.

A girl who Willow had become to be friends with was Amy, they would egg each other on to create new guidelines and further their limitations. They also varied how the magic they created was envisaged, they soon passed the need to always do spells, to limit themselves to hand gestures for what to do and where it should be done.

Most difficult was thought, to make the magic be by thought could only be done if they were not in a bad mood. Though they both accepted the best most efficient magic could be done when good and bad magic was combined. When Buffy was told of their findings she was in favour of both good and bad magic being used together.

Explaining herself Buffy said that she had followed two vampires one night, they went into a crypt in a cemetery near a church not far from the school. Inspecting the crypt the next day Buffy said that ten vampires congregated there. During the daylight hours when the crypt was empty Willow and Amy left a box of fireworks on the floor underneath a window.

Buffy waited near the crypt until the hours of darkness gave the ten vampires the opportunity to wander to and to enter the crypt. When they were all seated Buffy lit the fuse, it was hidden from view by a column in the crypt, a Catherine Wheel span a continuous wheel of sparks which lit all the other fireworks.

The vampires ran out of the crypt straight to the greetings of Amy, Willow and Buffy. Xander was stood ten feet from the doorway incase the girls missed any vampires. The girls had five stakes each, they were given the instructions that if they ran out of stakes they were to run to where Xander was stood.

The object was that Xander would not miss out on all the fun and while it was possible the girls might get them all Xander would face the three girls running to him. Xander had the idea of sweeping the dust left by the vampires into a large wooden crate, for Buffy to shake the crate so that if the vampires could be resurrected they come back all mixed up.

Going home Xander was upset that he had only staked one vampire but more so than that was that he was going home at such an early hour. Buffy turned her torch light off though she guided Willow and Amy between the graves, Xander was unsure where the girls were going, even after he had tripped over a low crypt he still questioned where they were going.

Xander did not notice that Buffy led them between the crypts, Willow with Amy followed which way Buffy had gone. Not much happened until Buffy walked around the edge of a low crypt, she knew even a headstone would cause Xander to trip over it. Buffy ushered Willow and Amy to stop, she warned them a vampire was near.

Xander did not hear the warning and kept walking, he slowed when he heard the sound of something metallic being knocked against stone. He called out for an explanation of the noise, a man’s voice replied to him apologizing for disturbing him. Xander heard the man tell him that his name was spelt wrong on his headstone. Xander was unsure how to react.

DONE part 3

Joyce told Buffy she had planned to have a cheese and wine party at the house though she would close off the upstairs rooms. Buffy considered the merits of such a party and accepted the chance to meet some local people. She couldn’t think of any negatives and was impressed at what the outcome might be, the opportunity to hear new ideas.

Willow and Amy were going into the mall to go to the Wine Market Willow opened the doors a bit harder than she had intended to, Amy stepped back sharply and bumped into Darla whose game face automatically appeared. Willow stepped back to protect Amy telling Darla, “Get thee behind me foul fiend.”

Then thought of what Darla might do to them, Willow instinctively invited Darla to go into the Wine Market shop before them, “After you,” said Willow and waving Darla in. Amy rolled her eyes to Willow, knowing they had just escaped a severe attack from a vampire She steered Willow away from the section where deep red Ports were stacked.

As they were leaving the section Amy looked into Darla’s basket and saw a bottle of Zinfandel and two bottles of Blue Nun red, Darla grinned to Amy, “I used to love those visits to the convents of Europe.” The memory of Angel gave Darla bad thoughts, she glared at Amy, Amy wrongly thought that Darla was about to attack her.

Following where red and white wine was displayed in the shop the girls ventured to the shelves where Talbot’s Sleepy Hollow was displayed. Opposite that was sparkling ginger, the Sauvignon Blanc the Semillon and the Gewurztaminer. With each person who went to the cheese and wine party taking two bottle of wine a good selection was to be had.

In the early evening two days later Buffy had been on the rear landing contemplating the design of the garden with the school librarian. Going into the house Buffy was surprised to see so many people in her home, Willow greeted her and heard the librarian ask her if the house had a basement, Willow wondered why he had asked her that.

“When I was in England there were many places in England Scotland and Wales that were home to stone circle, some of which had great meaning and a reported connection to beings and animals from old worldly beliefs.” Willow and Amy were impressed that such a possibility was mentioned, they volunteered themselves to Buffy to help if the notion was agreed upon.

Having heard what plans had been made for the design of in the basement Joyce said she would search for what figurines were available. Darla knew she needed to inform The Master of such as Darla knew the Powers That Be heralded from the countries of mid - eastern climes. From such entity’s for the Slayer The Master knew to call on the elite leaders of the underworld.

The schools librarian contacted several friends from the magical community who he knew to be interested in stone circles. Many photographs of the stones were sent, Joyce found out that a great cost would be involved for small boulders so Buffy suggested that a scale model of the original be made that would allow them to use coloured lights and a sound system.

Not expecting any magical connotations to work Amy suggested that they use smaller stones put on the floor of the basement. The next day Amy brought in a base with a small candle, she had made a series of casters one to portray the stones one to portray the capping stones, one to be the altar and one to portray the witnesses. Joyce was concerned at the sounds it made.

Willow told those there that the circle had a legend, it was known as the Rollright Stones in Oxfotdshire. Referred to as the Kings men though it is rumoured to be a meeting place for the local witches from the several nearby villages of the Compton’s. A mound near to the circle was occupied by a witch who watched the kings army invade their meeting place.

It is said that each one of the stones was one of the kings men. Joyce said she would like to visit that circle when she next went to England. Willow told her that the city of Oxford was near and that the area nearby was known as the Cotswold’s. A tree not far from that village was known to have its tree roots deep down in the earth, said to be known as The Deeper Well.

The Master asked Darla to investigate what was and to find the progress that had been made to get the circles operating, what the Master did not realize was that the stone circles would not operate unless a demon was the operator. Darla saw it as a way to infiltrate the slayers home.

DONE ! part 4

Giles contacted Miss Harkness, he asked her to find out what she could about travel between the circles, he wanted her to let him know of her findings when she could whatever they were. Amy and Willow sought contact with any covens in the area near to the Rollright Stones. After time though there was no response from any of the known covens in the areas of the Comptoms.

When Miss Harkness did respond she directed the slayer towards the danger that was posed by the vampire Darla, she wanted to cause a portal from the Hellmouth into the basement Buffy’s home. The plan was for a vampire to contact Darla by walkie talkie to let her know when Buffy had left the house, it would give the vampires yet another access to Sunnydale.

What the vampires did not know was that they thought the entrance / exit from hell was via one of the crypts. Had the vampires known that they would have realised that Buffy and the Watchers council were not playing with a full deck, even when the slayers side was enabled by a vengeance demon the slayers team were still lame in the knowledge facility.

The vampire Darla knew her leader to be one of the initial disciples of the leader of the First, she knew it was he who planned for there to be several exits or what the human’s came to know(?) as the mouths from hell. It was Xander who during those quiet days while pressing his torso about the exits from hell found that many were false.

His thought pattern suggested to him that an exit from Hell should only have a handle for use from those who came from within. He made a list of exits from the Hellmouth and those places which were entrances to Hell, first on his list was where he and Buffy escaped from Jesse, his entry was listed as being in the crypt.

It was at that point that Xander realised just how bad Buffy was as the slayer. Darla had been sat in a hanging chair talking to Jesse when Buffy walked passed her, she had not known that Darla was a vampire, it had never occurred to him that if Buffy had been any good as a slayer back then that his bud would still be alive.

Xander began to have problems deciding who was at fault, he didn’t think Buffy was, she appeared to be willing to do her job. Xander thought of Giles and decided he was at fault. Buffy was given her role by a higher power whereas Giles was of the Watcher Council, a human conglomerate who wanted to be important.

Xander enlisted some of his friends to help Buffy but not the Watchers, though Giles had wanted to be their friends when he was a watcher Xander didn’t trust him enough to allow him to lead them against the evil. Buffy was able to lead them all to wait in the tunnels for a time when the Master was alone, in doing so The Master was beaten before he had any power.

By concentrating on Darla Giles did accept his ability to help Buffy. Though he kept quiet about his ability to work for the Watchers Council. Buffy enlisted several friends to track down the movements of creatures from Hell. Xander, Willow and Amy kept a record of where the vampires were seen and when said areas were listed several times the slayer was sent there.

Xanders team began to realize that should several vampires at a certain location that Buffy was called to investigate the place and if she found that it was needed then the two witches Amy and Willow were sent to assist the slayer, even the vengeance demon began to see the error of her ways, she feared the day that D’Hoffryn called her out for helping the humans, so she distanced herself from Xanders crowd.
