i didn't see any open thread about it so..did anyone watched the Donnie darko movie? i loved it, and ussualy i don't enjoy watching that kind of movies but i really enjoy the story of this one. and the turns the movie toke, very nice, and the ending scene, one of the best i saw till now for ending a movie. but anyway i watch it 2, but i still got some questions about it that i like to solve if anybody wants to anwser feel free 😀
 
i think here it never got into the theaters, and if there is in dvd here, i never saw it *shrugs* i had to download it to see it, like most of the things i like..
 
ive ssen this, it got me confused, but i went on afew sites, and i think ive got it, so if you have any questions i will try and answer them.
 
the main things i didn't understand was:
1- where did the plain engine came from, and why precicily in Donnie'd room?
2- was "bunnie Frank" the rea Frank coz if this is tru then it has no logic...and if not why did it have frank body?
 
I saw it, it was interesting that's for sure!!! I think the plane engine came from the plane his fam was on..so he sort of caused it or something...not too clear on that though!
 
the plane engine came from the parrellel universe which was created by the events at the end of the film. you know, those ones which were created by its being there! parradox-tastic!

Frank the bunny has knolege from a higher power. but we dont know if he is the same or not
 
oh..so it's like a circle..but it always confude me that fact, becaus how i get it, since the morning he woke up in the golf camp he was already in the tangent universe, coz in the real universe the events went like in the end of the movie, but what trigger the engine to go from the tangent to the real universe?
yeah i read somewhere that bunnie frank and donnies girlfriend weren't himselfes in the tangent universe, were some sort of guides..not clear on that one either..
 
all the characters that die have an instinct as to how the things are going to turn out, its in their subcontius, they know but they dont realise this.
this gets more and more obvious and wide spread as the universe starts to fall apart (cellar door) etc

the short answer is, your not supposed to understand it.
 
yeah, you'll problably right..this film is excellet although confusing..it's been a while since i actually cared and bothered to think about a movie..

There might be spoilers in this i don't know.

1- The plane engine came from the plane on which Donnie's mum and sister were on when coming back from the competition, it xcame from the future thru a portal, which ended up being above the house.

2- Bunny frank was frank, but dead frank, he is frank in the future. He is dead because of when donnie killed him after he ran over gretchen.
Bunny Frank was donnie's guide, to help him to do everything in a certain way so the future would end up how it should.
