Don't be too thankful for the UPN

Yes, while the UPN television channel (now formed with WB to create The CW), picked up Buffy the Vampire Slayer after The WB ditched it, they also declined to pick up Angel after cancelled by the WB, as well as Firefly, after dumped by Fox.

So, we could have possibly had a sixth TV season of our broody vampire and our loveable space crew!

Seems silly to blame them for choosing not to pick shows up. It's not like they chose to cancel them.

So? If it weren't for the UPN, we would've had two seasons less of Buffy.
Plus, they weren't the ones who cancelled Angel or Firefly and didn't have any obligation to pick up the shows.

No, but I guess I'm just venting because I was thinking about how a season six on TV would work better than it did in the comics. 😛

That's not really fair at all to say about Firefly, though.

Fox stupidly aired the episodes in the wrong order, which disattracted potential viewers.

And therefore would've also put off any potential networks. UPN aren't the kind of broadcaster that put their hand out for what they think is artistic merit, this is to be expected.
