i cant believe i got all worked up for nothing in season 3 for crying and feeling sad for both A and B! season 4 has barely started and A shows his face already? just as i was getting used to Riley... B is so gonna be confused when she finds out.
 
Lmao, thats the thing, when a character leaves do not expect them to stay gone, they often creep back up in teh same show or the other one 😛
 
It was kinda funny how quickly they had Angel reappear this season, I also wasn't expecting it when he showed up in "Pangs". It was nice to see him on the show again though, and working with the scoobies that AREN'T Buffy at that. I was so busy missing the Bangel scenes, I forgot how much I enjoyed him working with the other BTVS characters too.

Not a big Riley fan myself, but if you're warming up to him that's not a bad thing. He was a nice guy and all and not bad on the eyes, but he just wasn't tall dark and handsome enough for me :silly:
 
Angel seemed to be more in the background in that episode. He was there but wasn't very notice able to me at least. It was funny how he was sneaking around trying to avoid Buffy only to have Xander spill the beans that Angel came 😀.

Captain America Riley=meh! I would go on but I have already talked about why I don't like him in other thread. So meh will do lol.
 
I thought it was kind of a lame excuse to have Angel come back. "Buffy's in danger! From . . . the sort of thing she deals with all the time. Must go help!" Maybe if it were a really big bad evil, but a vengeance spirit? I think the gang had it taken care of. 😉

And I think Angel jumped at the chance to see Buffy. Even though he KNEW it was too soon to come back..which is why he stayed hidden from her. 😉
 
Well the writers were desperate for a crossover, lol.
But seriously, I liked Angel crossing over. As long as he's not moping at Buffy's side I really like him, and he adds a lot of comedy.
It's obvious that this crossover was only done to get the whole IWRY storyline rolling, why else would Buffy have gone to LA, but hey, I just had an interesting thought. What if the reason why Doyle got the vision about Buffy was so that Angel would go see her, Buffy would then in turn come to LA and Angel would subsequently become human? Do you think this could've been a scheme of the Powers That Be to redeem Angel, he just refused?
 
Anyone on here about three years ago would tell you what a Spuffy advocate I am but Buffy really screwed up with Riley. He was the closest to normal as she was going to get. I'm not a huge fan of Riley or Angel, save Angelus, but I have more respect for what Riley had to offer her these days...

There could be something to what you're saying.

Maybe it was a test. They dangled humanity in front of him to make sure that he was theirs. They didn't want hin unless he gave everything for the mission.

I mean, after that episode, I bet Angel was less interested in becoming human, atleast for a while.

I understand Angel's motivation. I meant it was lame on the part of the writers. Couldn't they come up with something a little more world threatening than that?
 
I didn't think it was ironic. 🙂 I was a complete Bangel back then so I was heartbroken when he left, and the crossovers gave me a happy. 😉

lol the crossover just made mo more sad knowing he wasn't gonna stay or be a permanent part of Buffy's life anymore 😀 that's just me though but im good now 🙂

I agree. The vengeful spirit was so lame. The vision should have been about what happened in the episode Doom. With the Hellmouth reopening and everything. Anyway, Pangs is not one of my favorite episodes. It was kinda boring.
