Dorms

Each of the dorms is named for or after a memorable character in the Jossverse:
Merrick- Buffy's original watcher (see the original movie)
Vahla Ha'Nesh- the name of Illyria's temple in "Angel"
Raiden- named for Gwen Raiden, Angel's sometimes ally in Los Angeles
Drogyn- named for the keeper of The Deeper Well, who cannot tell a lie.
There's not a huge difference in the dorms as far as BB goes. They're just kinda like our own little version of the dorms in Harry Potter, and it's a fun way to get to know your fellow boardmates on a smaller scale than trying to learn about everyone here all at once. 🙂

Excuse me HisMrs but was there any particular reason why you listed Drogyn last? Hmm? maybe a little resentment and jealousy? There is a huge difference in dorms.. there is Drogyn, and then all the rest.

She only put Merrick first because they are the red headed step child of dorms and she knew I would REALLY call her out if she put VH first.. I think I need to showcase my old banner to further illustrate the difference in the dorms

You know, back when I first joined, WAY back in 2005 (ignore my stats, they lie) Drogyn was known as the 'easy' House, 'cause EVERYBODY got put in Drogyn. V'H was the elusive House that got no new members, and Merrick and Raiden struggled against each other for top house. *Sigh* how things change in six years.

Is not that one of the seven signs of the apocalypse? Actually its two of the seven.. one being the VH actually loses.. oh that makes me happy.. and the second that Raiden actually wins something! The sky is falling.
What?! They DO lie! May 2005!! That's when I joined! Not my fault I got fecking deleted in the server crash and had to register again! I still blame...what's-his-name for that. Glory...something. The guy who got into that huge argument with VisionGuy when he insulted Glory, lol.

Well I have to show some love for the other dorms, 'cause I feel sorry for you. Hello, Vahla Ha'Nesh = House Cup Winners for three years in a row. Need I really say more??
Hey, come on! Merrick won the very first EVER House cup, thanks to yours truly's awesome leadership skills! It's only a matter of time before we regain the crown!

So is there really any difference beyween the dorms? Or do they basically all do the same stuff?
The internal workings of the dorms are dictated by its members. They play games, have general chats and plot BB domination. There are various competitions that allow the winners to earn points for their house. The house with the most points wins The House Cup.
