Double PMs

OK, can I make a suggestion?

When a MOD edits a post and they fill in the reason, maybe a follow up email isn't needed?

OK, not everyone gets as many 'Post Edited' as much as I do, but seriously, its getting tiresome that I get 2 emails for every one change.

IF I think you're wrong, trust me I will reply but until that time, I think its fair to assume I understand why its been done so that should be the end of it.

No need for the board to go overly politically correct.

As I recall from my time in the modhead, if one edits a post it elicits an automatic PM but it was always my practice (and I believe current mods do it as well) to send a personal PM to the editee to explain the reasons behind an editing decision. Not overkill or excessive PC but mere old-fashioned politeness...or looking at it from an offender's POV...a more detailed bollocking for being a bit of a knob-end...😉

As someone who has had his fair share of edited posts, its only this last week that I have had the double post along with the automatic.

Perhaps the problem of a polite PM to tell you in more detail why your post was edited would go away if your posts didn't need to be edited.

You must've been creating more than your normal amount of cheeky shenanigans to have generated such attentive modliness 😉

Sometimes the staff react to posts...only to find other staff members already reacted two seconds before they hit 'post'...
Don't take it as personal...unless they're really out to get you 😉

Perhaps, but then some of the posts that have been edited I have had issue with and really didn't deserve to be edited.
For some reason, lately, the board mods have taken it upon themselves to be slightly more anal than usual.

As for now, I have raised my issue, one that has only become an issue of late, and we shall see what happens.

Ok Al we will take on board what you said but I would like to say that it is board practice to pm someone about an edit if it is felt further explanation is needed.
