Downloadable Writer Aids

I just downloaded Open Office from a link in another thread in this forum. (Haven't tried it yet though. Don't know if it's any good).

It got me to wondering. Does anyone know of any other good, free, downloadable tools that might help while writing?

For example I can recommend clipomatic as a good copyboard tool, and Vault is a helpful little text managing tool.

Are there any others? Is there such a thing as a good free Script-writing program for instance?

Well, I'm not aware of a free scriptwriting software, but the cheapest one I know of is http://www.sophocles.net which I use and love.

This group: http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/ScriptHelpTools has templates for Word in the files section. It also links to many other free script resources.
