I'm on the way out the door so I haven't gotten a change to reas the thread.

During the downtime, a few of us were trying to figure out why the board went down. During the arguement with HellsGod he said something along the lines of "I'm leaving you with something to remember me by." and then an hour or so later the boards were down. Did he hack it or was it coincidence?

Big Thanks to Buffy Summers for getting it sorted out (again 😉) - I hope all you guys who got un-sorted get fixed soon...I'm sure Buffy will try her best to help everyone out (as she usually does) so please be patient...jeez, I'm a big suck-up...

I was really bummed about the downtime, as I had just recently discovered this place and was getting fond quickly. I too was unable to go with my first username, but that's ok with me. Glad th boards are back.

It "lets" everyone reregister. But people who registered before we stopped allowing underscores, who try to register underscores, can't.

Wow, i go away for a few weeks and miss the Great Buffy Board Member Slayage of 2006! Looks like i got lucky with my account still intact!

Sorry for all you guys who have had to reregister. Whilst things like post count and karma don't really mean anything in the great scheme of things they do help to establish you as a long time member of a community so it must suck for those of you who have been posting here for years and are now having to start afresh.

Anyway, other than that i'm glad to see the Board remained largely unaffected by the downtime! 🙂

I was just wondering but was there any pattern to which accounts were lost or was it a purely random thing? Whilst posting today i've been looking around at the various members who lost their accounts and whilst there are a lot of relatively new members who have had to rejoin (who first joined in the last month or two) i've noticed quite a few long time members accounts were lost too. So was it purely random or was there some reason why certain accounts were lost and others remained?

Not that it really matters, it's just me being curious! 😀

So what was actually wrong with the boards? I don't know if this has been asked already but I haven't read everything. Sometimes with these types of boards, there's certain problems with only one of the froum sections...
