Doyle and Cordy: Love?

I think Cordy cared for Doyle but I wouldn't say it was love. They didn't have enough time together for it to turn into love.

I think that Doyle probably loved Cordy but he didn't know it. he probably thought it was just a crush. Cordy on the other hand, was just starting to like Doyle in the episode The Bachelor Party. I think she just had feelings for him, but they weren't love just yet. I would've liked to have seen them persue a relationship.
 
I am not sure if it was love or not, it ended too far early to say yes or no to that. But it seemed to have worked to me, they were a good match!!!!!
 
Naaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! It would have been alright, but Doyle was afraid of telling Cordy. I think they would have had a boring relationship. Angel was much better for her and i wish she would have made it to the meet spot instead of ascending!!!!!!! Like Fred said, "Kye-Rumption!!!"
 
I would have to agree with most points in this thread. Doyle and Cordy had the potential to be love. Cordy was probably just beginning to have feelings for him but never got the chance with his death. She seemed open to exploring a relationship with him in Hero when she told him to ask her out for dinner.
 
Agreed i would not say there was Love but maybe some day it would have been. I don't think there was chemistry between them to start off with. Doyle was great and if i could choose anyone to be one of her loves it would be Doyle, but i think Cordy was too interested in making it big with some hot guy then ever considering poor Doyle. Once she found out he was half demon her view of him changed.

I was glad to see them share their first kiss at the end even if it was their first and last kiss. 🙂
 
I don't know, but their relationship was really sweet, as was all of Cordy's relationships.

It really killed me when Doyle died. He was such an awesome character. Of all the characters in the buffyverse to kill... why Doyle? I think I took his death harder than any other, except perhaps Jenny Calendar.

By the way, they definitely loved each other. Maybe not romantic love, but they cared for each other deeply and were great friends although they wouldn't admit it. Doyle was like a more mature Xander, I think, and so his and Cordy's chemistry was undeniable.

I can see the similarities between Doyle and Xander but I don't think that Cordy loved Doyle at all. I think she liked him...but it was much too soon to be love in my opinion. It seemed to me that she had just started to realize her feelings for him in "Hero"....had he stuck around a while I definitely think it could have become love though.
 
I really dont think it was love. It was too Cordy had only just realised how much she liked doyle. And for Doyle it was just lust but leading to love. If theyd had a chance, I definately think they could have loved each other. But it was way too soon to tell.
 
Well I think Doyle had the best chemistry with Cordy out of all of the characters in the 'verse. He's the only one that really got her, when she said something stupid he didn't look down on her but instead knew how to play off of it. That's why I think they could have been a perfect match, but it just wasn't meant to be I guess. I think that Joss just wanted to show that the rules for Angel are different, anyone can die at anytime. It's too bad, I think I got choked up harder when Doyle died than for any other character.
 
I, for one, liked Cordy and Doyle together, but I don't think it was love... there wasn't enough time for it to develope into love. I really wish the two of them could have had more time together, to see where their feelings for one another would have taken them. They loved eachother, but they weren't IN love with eachother.
