I agree that bringing Doyle back would be the wrong thing to do, even now that they *could* in the world of Comic Books. It would cheapen his sacrifice if they just brought him back good 'n new all those years later. But that being said, it's fun to think of how he might have reacted to Angel taking over W&H.
My guess is that he'd be hesitant about the change just like Cordelia, but I think in the end he might have taken the news a little better. He was only around for less than a season, so Doyle didn't get to see a lot of the horrible things the company did before Angel took over. Sure they were the big evil law firm, but I don't think it would be quite as impossible for him to imagine the company turning over a new leaf.
I imagine him staying pretty quiet and neutral, on the subject of W&H until he had met the team and seen all there is to see at headquarters. Then I think it would be a lot like the scene between Cordy and Angel in "You're Welcome". He'd tell Angel how worried about him he is, warn him not to loose sight of the person he was when he came to LA. Maybe even crack a joke about the fact that he died.
Then I'd expect he would have taken on (like Hero said) a smaller role, appearing every couple episodes with a vision before disappearing into LA for a while. In any case I couldn't imagine he would be too keen on working in such a big company. I think if they had brought him back, the writers really would have had to get creative to write him into a regular role that wasn't associated with W&H.
