Dracula

echh i didn't like dracula. i didnt enjoy that opening at all! lol, but yah- good representing of mythology but come on- i think joss could do better!

I did not really like the buffy dracula, i've read the book and have seen the movies and i think it fell a little short.
He was to easy to kill (well not Kill, kill you know what i mean), but of course it is buffy.. Yeah buffy can kick old dracula's butt anyday!

Yea ^_^

She had to kick his ass, it is her show after all but he did seem 'all powerful' and stuff. He got control of Xander, and partly Buffy for a little while. And he came back from being staked!!! How many vampires can say that!

Let's not forget how ridiculous ole Drac looked with those cheap, oversized teeth in his mouth. I'm surprised he didn't talk like Daffy Duck with those things in there.

And make-up was pretty obvious - all that whitened skin face. They should have casted acto of more pallid complexion.
Yet the same actor played historical Dracula in movie 'Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula'.

Oh,l totally loved his accent. 🙂

Felt pity for old Drac for beaing such an easy prey for the Slayer. I did expected much more or such legendary person.
Though she didn't actually killed him, phew, just scared him off, but what a shameful defeat it was?!

Well...kinda. I liked the Buffy vs Dracula. It was different. I thought it was cool. Maybe if Joss would of kept Dracula around alittle more longer then it would of been played out more and better. But she didnt actually defeat him as he kept returning. But I think it was just to introduce the many types of vamps that lie about in the Joss's mind.

What if Dracula would of been the big bad?? WOuld it be good? bad??

Dracula....for multiple episodes?! My worst nightmare!

If Dracula wouldn't have been so corny in the show then he would have made an awesome Big Bad. 'cept we've already had two major vampiric baddies -- TM and Angelus. It would have gotten a little old, I think.

Although I can't wait for his return in the comics! 😀

Wellcome to Hellmouth. 🙂 I just think it'd have been too grotesque and cliché to build entire season around Count D.
Like, there are already lots of various characters that stand up against Dracula.
One episode's just fine.

I liked the episode. I do think they went with the cheesy approach to good old Count Vlad, but I'm not sure you could do Drac in a clever, serious way anymore. He's just been done too many times. I think the cheesy, over-the-top rock star route was really for the best. I mean, really, all you can do at this point is make a little fun.

I, personally, would like it if Buffy would encounter different types of vamps more often. What about succubi or incubi? What about Anne Rice vamps? What about Whitley Streiber vamps (with their weird cat tongues)? What about Vampirella? What about Blade's vamps with their regenerative abilities? I mean, I'm sure there would be some intellectual property issues with some of these, but Joss did give us his version and then the Nosferatu version later on. I'd like it if Whedonverse vamps were the general rule, but if Buffy met an exception every now and again.

I know, I've got a small library of Vampiric literature from folklore to modern stories and there are so many varieties.

The Mara Demon of Scandinavian origin from which the word "nightmare" originates from. Almost Vampiric in how it feeds off mortal fear in sleep.

The Incubi/Succubi demons when they lustfully engorge themsevles until corporeal.

Rician Vampires where they're skin turns to armoured ivory over time and have greater telepathic abilities, moving at fantastic speeds.

I would so love to see Carmilla make an appearance, still searching for the love and attention she sought in life.

Van Helsing style tranformations on a more limited scale.

Teeth contortions, extentions and eye blackening from the Noble Dead or Dresden Files series'

Wampir/Upyr Vampires with their scorpion sting beneath the tongue instead of fangs.

Etc *takes breath*
