Dracula

Not sure which topic this post should go under, as it is only tangentially related to Buffy, but.. just wanted to know what people think of the new Steven Moffat/Mark Gatiss Netflix show “Dracula.” Any excitement for it?? Thoughts? A new trailer dropped today and it looks good! Considering Moffat/Gatiss’ penchant for adhering to source material and adding rich detail to their shows (e.g. “Sherlock”), I’m looking forward to it!

What's this only three episodes, deep voices to make it sound er weird. At least the JRMeyers 2013 Dracula had 10 episodes. And they attempt to follow the book, gawd knows why because they all vary such a lot. Like I said before if they so called claver directors like Francis Ford Coppola learnt how to make scary like the Hammer House of Horror films could, they might be worth watching, but none of the new, in the last decade Dracula films or TV serials are any good.

I think 3 episodes is a decent amount. Not sure there's much room in 2019-20 for an over long Dracula show.

I'm up for this, but it doesn't strike me as a much see. Because there's been so many different versions of the character this needs to do something a bit different, while keeping to the characters roots I think. Decent people involved at least.

I think its a nice balance to strike having the episodes rolled out over three nights on free TV and then sticking them up on Netflix worldwide the following weekend.

I really enjoy Mark Gatiss' horror stuff. It's generally pretty good compared to a lot of rubbish you see today.
