Has anyone ever had it? Anyone ever seen it? I sawr it at the store today and it looks incredible! Just wonder what it tastes like. Each one was $7 so I wasn't going to spend it just to see!

Here's a picture of it:

Now I find out it's supposed to be great for you too. I should have gotten some but.. ever since The Kiwi Incident I have been hesitant to try really some things.

Saw one of these at while working in one of my stores on Saturday. I certainly wasn't that expensive, though I can't remember how much exactly off the top of my head. I was going to buy one to try it, but I talked myself out of it because, quite frankly, I don't know how to eat it, lol.

Yeah, how would you eat it?!

It looks like something that can be peeled, but then it also looks like a fruit that needs to be cut, like pineapple.

Maybe I'll get some of these in for the Halloween Trick or Treaters who come knocking.

Ok, that totally makes me think of

I've had dragon fruit before. The taste reminds me of Kiwi sorta, but not as tart.

I see them in stores occasionally, but mostly in specialty stores...or stores with fancy produce sections.

Mr.Pole , have you seen or tried a rambutan?

You guys have never had a dragon fruit 😱

I love those! I usually get them for 2.50$ (Canadian) at the store, I would never pay 7$ thought. They do taste like a kiwi, but much gentler, and sweeter.

They are really easy to eat, just cut in half and peel it, it comes right out of the shell. You don't even need a spoon, just use your fingers.

Why don't you buy some and send them to me. I will pay you $4 (canadian) for each one.

Dost thou have a paypal account.. or I could wire the funds to your bank! You dont have ample supply of cheap fresh figs by chance do you?

People of Buffy Boards!! Send me yer fruit!!

Does that mean I have to send it express? What are regulations for mailing fruits? I can't guaranty freshness upon arrival.

I think you have to send food items express. I have no idea. It would not be worth the hassle, honestly. Next time I am in town I will pick some up and stick them up an orifice and smuggle them over the border. Last time I crossed I was searched and the car was searched!! I must look shifty.

Good think you're not smuggling some pineapples! With a little practice a dragon fruit shouldn't be so bad.

Well, there are alot of nooks and crannies they could be shoved up.. but I dont think pineapples would be able to fit. Thankfully they are cheap enough here and I dont have to smuggle.

The real question, are durian cheap where you're from?
