Drug addicts come in all forms. They are not just people hooked on drugs or alcohol. They could also be people addicted to food, sex, etc. Do you think it's possible that someone could be addicted to drama?

Here's why I ask this.

From a very younge age I've lived a rough life. Girlfriend committing suicide, people dying, stalkers.. - I even died last year, and many many other things. So, drama has been an ever present factor in my life. When things get dramatic with me I either get very upset or very angry. When I get angry, my adrenaline rushes. Look at it this way. Crack is (in other terms) a cheaper form of cocaine, but it doesn't do as good a job. Drama could be as crack to me as adrenaline is to cocaine. Does that make sense? In other words, I use drama as a way to satisfy my adrenaline addiction because of how enthused I get with my rage. From the examples above -girlfriend dies = panic = adrenaline. people dying = sadness, sadness turns to anger = adrenaline. stalkers + danger = adrenaline. Maybe I'm more of an adrenaline junky than a drama junky. Because I can make drama out of little things. For example, last night on my way home from work I asked my roommate if he wanted anything because I was stopping at McDonalds. He said he wanted blah blah blah and then said how our friend wanted whatever. My mind started with "well what the hell? im not gettin them anything. i didnt say im stopping for two people too!" and I know in my head that that isn't a logical way to think. But that's almost my body's mechanism, create something out or nothing so my adrenaline goes off.

Does this sound crazy? Just figured I'd ask. I've also never done drugs, but what I referenced above is what I've heard. Don't do drugs, yall.

About the trip to MacDonalds. Sounds like you were making a mountain out of a mole hill, = a drama junky.

Yeah, if you've got that short a fuse, I'd say you create more drama than necessary in your life. That said, I think it would be polite of your friend to ask if you could bring some for more people as well.

When you've lived through a lot of drama, the way you act and react in such situations may become your modus operandi as you describe. You sound as if you are already aware that this isn't too healthy a pattern. There are other ways to fulfill a craving for adrenaline.

Join a high contact sport like football, basketball, rugby. Alternatively, run... like a LOT run so much that you're exhausted regularly. This will also give you endorphin rushes that will sate your eternal lust for adrenaline.

I'm not a shrink (btw, if you haven't been to one, think about it, it's not that tabo anymore or only for crazy people), but it sounds like you could very well be right. You could be addicted to drama/adrenaline and make little things to big things because of it. Or maybe you have a anger problem, which is a bit different.

Try to get into sports to channel your need for adrenaline. Or you know, go to a shrink to make sure how to solve your problem. It's even possible that a well stocked library might help you. You can't possibly be the only person who likes the rush.

I was thinking of taking boxing because that seemed like a good way to get rid of some of what's going on. But, I have a heart problem that they're having a hard time diagnosing. That's why I mentioned it in the first post. Yesterday was actually the 1 year anniversary that I died. Was kind of weird... So, with that being said I don't think I'm cleared to do any types of sports. They think I may be pushing it with the surfing and hiking I do. I also haven't been cleared for getting tattoos either...but...they'll be angry when they find out I have 3 in a couple days. lol

Sounds like some great drama to stir up!
