Spike's line about Angel always been a bit of a drama queen is the reason why I thought of this thread, thinking to ask you...

Who do you think is the biggest drama queen? 😱

Dawn was the first name that entered my mind... but that mostly due to one particular scene. 🙂
If giving it a bit more thought I might change my mind though.

She's my favorite character. But I have to say Buffy always struck me as a little bit of a drama queen when it came to Angel in Seasons 2 and 3 when you take into consideration what everyone else was going through as well.

Guys, I see your "Spike throwing himself on a cross" and raise you an "Angel sitting on top of a hill waiting for the sun to rise so he can burn to a crisp/crying." 😉

Honestly, I think we need to cut them both some slack; dealing with the reality that you've slaughtered thousands seems like quite a lot to handle. They can't all reflect on their time as monsters which such nonchalance as Anya does! Personally I'd say they bring just the right amount of drama, considering.

Funny thing is that considering all of the horrors of the world these characters live in, I give them all a pass for being dramatic at various times. Yes, even Dawn. Girl had a horrible life! That's what makes Buffy so incredible; even though she occasionally lets herself have a cathartic moment in which she embraces the horror of her experiences and lets herself get into it, she is always quick to snap right back out of it, (always within the course of an episode), and get right back down to business.

Spike. When everyone was grieving Fred's death in solitude, Spike chose to sit and brood on the staircase in the middle of Wolfram & Hart's lobby.

If that doesn't scream "attention seeking Drama Queen" I don't know what does.

While I agree that Spike is a drama queen, this one doesn't make him it. That's a quiet alone time to grieve, not seeking for attention at all. That's exactly the oppisite from being a drama queen. Angel broods all the time, but that doesn't make him a drama queen. Others things might.

I always felt that kind of represented that he had no real place there, he didn't really belong with the fang gang.. in a way that none of them truly belonged to W&H but that Spike was more of an outsider than the rest of them, that he was kind of drifting at this point, unsure of his place.

As for drama queens I think they all had a touch of it but that Dawn was prone to showing it a lot (why not she was a teen-sister of a superhero 😉) and that Willow was rather drama-ish too actually. Though Buffy certainly had her own drama-queen moments

No, Spike was in the lobby staircase, forcing everyone to walk around him. This wasn't a quiet alone time. Not with hundreds of Wolfram & Hart employees buzzing about.

He wasn't forcing anyone anything. Those were people he didn't really know or had contact with. Each one of the gang was alone, in their own place: the offices, Harmony's desk... Spike didn't have a place, so he was sitting on the staircase, not talking to anyone. He was keeping his pain and thoughts to himself. That's the opposite from drama queen. What did you want him to do? Tell everybody around him to leave the place? He just found a spot and sat there, not because there were people around them, but because he didn't have a place of his own to go to to mourn.
